If I sleep in my bed, I sleepwalk (and sleep-play-video-games), but when I sleep on the floor or couch (which I like must better, somehow) I can wake up a few times during the night and early morning.

I'm an extremely heavy sleeper. All the time I hear people talking about "the terrible thunder that kept them up at night." All I can think is, "There was a storm last night?"

Fix'd, first of all.

The only thing to wake me up has been lightning striking the house three doors down.

Depends on the periods of time that I am awake.

Normal day - Light sleeper.
Long Day - Drop an anvil on my foot, won't even twitch.

I'm a very heavy sleeper.

An alarm can go off for half an hour without waking me up, many times my sub-conscious has encorporated the sound into my dreams rather than letting me be woken up by it.

It depends on the level of noise I fell asleep to, if I fall asleep to silence the slightest noise will wake up up, if I fall asleep to blaring music you have to be louder than that to wake up me. I usually always have to have some sort of music or sound then because otherwise my cats wake up me.

Dunno if this makes sense, but, I'm a heavy sleeper, but I only sleep for about four or five hours before waking up.

3 hours 20 minutes of sleep no matter when I rest my weary head
Wooo! We can be buddies.
If I take my seroquel, god help you if you need to wake me before like 8 hours of sleep. I will be able to be conscience, but I'll be dumb as hell and cranky too.

Since I see others have slept through earthquakes (I've done two), here's another lovely anecdote on my heavy sleeping:

Visiting some friends of the family, I was alone sleeping on the couch on the first floor while every one else was upstairs (total 8 people), when the family dog decided she couldn't hold it in anymore and did a number 2 about 5 feet away from me, at maybe 4-5 am I think. Somehow the smell wakes up a couple of people upstairs, and begins the chain of events that wakes the entire household up with at least 30 minutes worth of running, swearing, cleaning, punishing the dog, and opening windows to clear the smell, all of which is happening in the same room I'm still sleeping very soundly in , much to the amazement of the now 8 other people now in it.

This was the explanation waiting for me when I woke up nicely refreshed at 8 and walked into a kitchen filled with grumbling people who couldn't get back to sleep, all of which promptly directed caffeine glares in my direction, prompting my ever famous 'Wh-*yawn*-at?'

I tend to get to sleep better if it's raining heavily outside (pun invitation unintended), but I'll wake up fairly easily.

Im a light sleeper with insomnia.

It takes me about an hour of lying in bed to fall asleep, then the smallest sound makes me up and it takes for ever to fall back to sleep.

Its annoying, but only having 3 hours sleep for 4 nights in a row makes me feel very cranky.

I think I might be. According to my brother, I am.

Brother: "Man, a bomb could go off in your room and you wouldn't wake up."

Me: "Um... yeah. Because I'd be, y'know, dead..."

Brother: "Well, you know what I mean."

Depends. Usually I sleep every other night. If I sleep on a night after I get sleep, the slightest noise or discomfort will wake me up, and after that there's no chance I'm getting back to sleep. After around 48 hours without sleep, I sleep like a fucking rock.

I am an incredibly heavy sleeper. I've slept through people kicking me, an eathquake shaking my house, the whole play of The soind of music whilest right next to the orchestra and my fire and burglar alarm (which is a bad thing).

However I find it very hard for me to get to sleep. I have DSPS which means that I can never fall asleep at (socialably) normal times and it always has to be dead silent. I hate even the tiniest noise when I'm trying to sleep.
I'm a little bit like that.

Go to bed at midnight? Sleep like a brick till about 4 pm. =(
Go to bed at 4 pm? I'll be wide awake a little after sunset.

Irritates me to no end I tell you =(

Also, I tend to be more awake during the hours of 6 pm - 2 am.
No idea why, even if I am dead tired, it's like a caffeine hit. o_O
Pretty much exactly the same as what you just wrote. It's a nightmare when I have to wake up at 9.00 to go to school and only really wake up by the time I get home.

I did find a way around it though. If you can stay awake for a whole day you will be so damn tired that you can fall asleep whenever you like. The only drawback is that you will feel like s**t for about 20 hours. I hate it more when I have no sleep. My heart starts to pound badly and I wobble a lot and can't walk very straight. It's also very hard to stay awake like that. I usually nod off on a sofa or something.
Yeah, but usually when I stay up for several days, I feel more awake in the evening, still makes it hard to sleep

I got dragged to a nightclub one night by friends who still can't believe that someone can be capable of not enjoying being surrounded by annoying noise and sweaty idiots, and paying over the top for the privilege.

Anyways, I was sat in the corner, with my £3 small coke ( I want to know where the strippers are when I'm paying that for a coke :D ), and then my mate's shaking me. Turned out I'd fallen asleep, with 150Db of bass going off in my ear, and it was time to go, seems my body just shutdown til it was all over, self defence maybe :D
