I will not be getting it. Call of Duty was never my favourite series of games to begin with, and World at War was the last CoD that I actually enjoyed. I did impulse-buy Modern Warfare 2, but I deeply regretted that purchase.

No, but i will rent it. I liked BO but i dislike the current setting and CoD games aren`t just worth buying anymore.

I haven't bought a CoD since 4. Not because they aren't good, I thought MW 2 was a step up from 4, but because each game doesn't change enough for my mind to rationalize spending more money to play something I already can.

It's the same reason I didn't want to buy L4D2. Then I got it for $5 because I thought the changes may be worth $5. But you'll never see a CoD at $5. When they get that low, maybe I'll get it.

Nope. I don't feel like spending $100 for yet another COD.
$100... Uh... Going to assume you live in Australia as it's only $60 like all other games...

OT: Yes I will be getting it, already got it on preorder from Amazon. Treyarch is changing up quite a bit in this one and I love the Strike Force game mode for the Single-player, it sounds awesome. Plus Zombies, love Blops/WaW zombies.

If only Steam let down the price of Call of Duties. At the way they stay at 55-60 euros for years, I don't think I'm gonna get it. Maybe from a physical store, maybe. If it somehow miraculously gets a price drop somewhere here.

I played the first Modern Warfare for hours upon hours upon hours upon hours and I really, really enjoyed the multiplayer. I haven't been into any online first-person shooter for a while, but I've wanted to for some time now, and I guess Coddy Blops 2 is coming at such a time that I may even dive back into the CoD series again (one thing to note is that I did play and finish the single-player campaigns of both MW2 and MW3, neglecting to finish World At War. I've never played a second of the first Black Ops).

I respect Treyarch more than I respect infinity ward. They seem like they're changing the formula somewhat each time and thats more than infinity ward can say. I'l potentially get it, maybe at christmas but I won't buy it day one.

I flip flop on this almost everyday. I have a love-hate relationship with the franchise. I'll probably end up getting it just for zombies.

I haven't enjoyed CoD since CoD2 . . .so no.

In my opinion, those games aren't even worth pirating . . . to those who do that sort of thing.

Definitely not. Modern Warfare 2 will easily hold me over another year until a decent developer is at the reins of CoD again (read: not Treyarch).

Plus I think I may pick up Halo 4, so those 2 games will satisfy my urge for competitive multiplayer shooters for a while.

I would suggest purchasing these games used so that way you can be assured a fellow consumer or Gamestop, Gamexchange, etc, sees the money. So you can get to play a great game without the guilt.
Yeah, I know it doesn't really accomplish anything....But I just don't want to support Activision in any way, least of all by buying their product. I've got no problem with other people buying it mind you, I'm not saying anyone else shouldn't, but I know I won't(The biggest reason being that they lay off or fire developers a lot after the game comes out, so the people who actually MAKE the game don't get paid the way they should). Another reason I dislike CoD in general is that all those map packs and stuff, make each new game over $100 by the time they're "Done", then that just gets repeated the next year -_-

EA is almost at a boycott level for me...But not quite...They're greedy, and really stupid, but not quite "evil" level that Activision is in my mind.

But anyway, all in all, I just don't want to buy Activision things, and the business practices behind CoD are just a huge turn off to me in general, regardless of the publisher/developer(15$ map packs, yearly releases, overpriced, ect.)
I hear ya'. It does get rather frustrating. Half the time, I don't get the map packs unless there's a really good deal. I have my own hangups about Activision and EA. Just wanted to offer a perspective that might move you to play some pretty good games, but I understand your side of things.

I'm hopefully going to avoid it. I may check out the soundtrack to check out what Trent has done with it, but I've got no real interest in it other than that. The MP is normally fun for a while, but with CSGO, my MP FPS need is being well catered for, and I don't really see any reason to add to that.

Plus, the aim for my summer holidays is to try and finish another dozen or so tracks, so I don't really want to add a time sink distraction. As it is, there's enough SP games coming out to keep me occupied when the need arises.

So not looking likely.

Maybe at some point, the only CoDs I've ever bought are the Treyarch ones, and I definitely get some mileage out of them; I 'unno, I feel like the Treyarch ones take themselves a lot less seriously than the Infinity Ward ones, even if the gunplay doesn't feel as 'heavy'.

And yeah, Nazi Zombies, depending on how that pans out.

Nope. I love the CoD series...when Infinity Ward does it. I've never been impressed with the game when handled by Treyarch. Also, I've seen some gameplay footage. While the more futuristic setting is intriguing, the stuff I've seen seems pretty bland.

Also, if they have the sniper rifle that can shoot through cover (shown in the campaign gameplay) at full capabilities in the multi-player, I can already hear thousands of player crying about things being unfair.

My brother's getting it because it's the only sodding game he buys, and even if he wasn't I still wouldn't buy it myself.

But since he is, I'll probably play his copy through the campaign and give Zombies a match or two. Apart from that I have little-to-no interest in CoD anymore. I'm only interested in the Black Ops campaign because BO's story was surprisingly well written for a franchise programmed by monkeys and the story to BO2 is a possibility (though extremely unlikely) for our future in reality.

Ironically, I said back when MW2 came out that CoD is outta' ideas, scraping the bottom of the barrel, when they take it into the future. In hindsight, they were scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to write a viable plot for MW3 (I'm glad I never bought that one too - absolutely terrible game).

Me and my girlfriend were actually going to camp out till midnight to get our preordered Black Ops II because despite that the series is getting old, it's still a grand experience and especially all the funner when you're playing it with someone you know ... or love. ^_^

By the way if you get the game, feel free to request if I can play with you. I'd like that very much, and together we can prevail any map.
What platform?
