Are you your gaming age?

Sometimes in certain circumstances people lie about certain things, of these things especially on websites with is age. I met someone on MSN who was related to a friend of mine, I shall not mention their name but they turned out to be 21 years older than they claimed to be.

Do you ever change your age for things you do? If so why?
I prefer to be open with some of my details, age is one of them, however I would be interested to hear what you all think.

I never change my age for anything. It's one of those things that just doesn't matter.

I make my age 18 if the game requires but besides that, I'll put my proper age for internet things.

i only changed stuff about my age to see the gory stuff that sometimes are required to enter your age to see :/ but turning 18 next month so dont have to do it so much longer but over MSN, Facebook and all the other i never lie about my age only that video stuff

I do not know what the point is of having an age limit if you can dupe it so easily.

I aged myself to 19 on Youtube, just to avoid the 18+ blockage. Which in some ways is clever, but also completely uneccesary (My finger points at all the fake 18+ video's still flying around Youtube, pretending to be mature).

As for your example, it never happend to me, mostly because my group that I can call 'true' friends is not the biggest in the world.

I appreciate that you R opening yourself to the world, but I warn you: don't overdo it. Just an advice.

After I turned 18 there wasn't much need to change my age for stuff so now I just put my actual age (20).

Nah, I always say my real age. Maybe if I were underage so I would need to lie about it to be able to play certain games then I would but I'm actually 21 so there's no point.

I'm honest when it comes to my age. I'm 18, and it doesnt really matter to me if im not allowed to play a game because of it.

They only time I lied about my age was to watch trailers for games, no need anymore though.

I'm 25, so I have no real need to lie about my age. That said, if someone assumes I'm 18-20 - which happens quite a lot because I went to work for a few years straight from school and didn't go to university until I was 23 - I rarely bother to correct them.
