Why do most "girl gammers" feel like they need to add the fact that they are a girl (gurl, chick, slut whatever) in their screen name, then ***** when they are harassed by idiots

I mean, you don't see my screen name being Pimp"I have a penis"Peter2
I've rarely felt the need to add "girl" or "chick" to my SN, but I imagine it comes from the desire not to be mistaken for a guy and avoid those awkward "Oh... You're not the gender I thought you were." conversations. That's the only reasonable reason I could think of, but there are plenty of other reasons like them wanting to be hit on and so on. Never underestimate the female capacity for convoluted motivations.

Would you be my girlfriend?
Sadly, I am determined to be all logical and not do long-distance relationships.
But I thought we had something special going... I really felt a connection. You didn't feel the connection?
I felt the connection. Orgasmatron will you marry me?
Sorry, after the let down of LiteraryLitany I don't think I could ever love again.
Sad faec, I bought the ring and everything.

What genre(s) of games do you like the best? I find that most female gamers either play RPG's (like WoW, the scourge of gaming) or simple 2D Facebook/iPhone games. A lot of guys play those games too, but personally I don't care for them much.

Was/is high school hell? I certainly hide my nerdy side and I'm male, so we're expected to play a few games in this day and age, today I heard the football team discussing the infamous MW2 airport level. Although I bet most of my friends would be shocked to hear that I can mod quite a few games and design levels for almost any game which has an SDK (if they even understood me, that is). Also, do you try and hide your nerdy side?
I do tend to prefer RPGs but I'm also a fan of various FPSs(Usually the clever ones). I've been playing them since I was like eleven when Tribes was favorite sucking black hole of free time.

High school is to be endured. My HS experience got clipped a bit when I was disemboweled senior year, but overall I got lucky in the friends department and managed to have *some* fun. And no, I don't hide my nerdy side. I'm plastered in geeky t-shirts about 80% of the time.

What would your ideal date be that pays homage to you as both a girl and a geek?
Hm. For a date it would likely be to dinner(somewhere nice to appease girly sensibilities) and a midnight showing of something fans have been screaming about for months and/or years. Although nothing, NOTHING beats two tickets to Comic-Con.
Does Fan-Expo count?

Do geek girls have a limit to the geekiness of guys?
Yes, all convention fun is appreciated.

Yes, but for me at least only when it makes us wonder about your mental health.

how important is Appearance to you? (in relationships also I hate to seem well, like a ass I really do wonder though)

do you own a PS3?

how do you deal with guys who are genuine Chav bastards who believe that your gender heavily affects your playing ability and how well you function?

What do you mean by 'disemboweled'?

I've been meaning to make a thread about this asking all girls on this site, but...

What do you find most attractive in a guy? Looks strictly speaking. Is it a muscular body? Perhaps a handsome face? Or maybe a average guy with awesome clothes and hair is what gets ya?

I wonder because is it a simple matter of working out? Alotta guys groan about how girls don't even look at them, but is it just a matter of hitting the gym?

Understandably, it's kinda a hard question to answer, but I'm interested because...well I can't really tell what guys are attractive or not.

One more thing, do you feel weird when you see characters that are obvious penis strokers for guys? I mean that Twilight article by MovieBob really made me think about how guys make fun of Twilight for being for hormonal teenage girls, while there are hundred of things for hormonal teenage guys. Which is why I won't hate on Twilight and might even read the books.

How coordinated do you consider yourself to be compared to the males? Do you often get lost in games when you don't have access to a map?
I'll admit I'm not as coordinated as most Guy Gamers, and I could go on about "If I had spent all the same amount of time..." and "We can't focus because we're multi-taskers" but honestly I'm just not as dexterous, and don't have as much patience when I get frustrated with myself so I'm not likely to get much better than passable.

And I'm actually excellent at getting around in a game. I spent hours bothering my brother when I was little about how he'd missed a turn or needed to turn around (Feel free to make jokes about that), although to be fair I got that sense of direction from my Dad.

So, with the relationship thread and the minor male-female numbers discrepancy on my mind I thought it might be fun to give myself a challenge. Other females feel free to join me in the question-answering.

Is there anything you've always wanted to ask about Geek Girls, that... well, we're not quite so rare anymore, but certainly a unique breed of female? Keep in mind that any questions asked just to annoy will be ignored. Try to keep it to things you're *genuinely* curious about.
Why are all your people better than me on nearly every online game I play? :'(

Are you really a girl?

The fact that you're a "girl" on the internet posting as such indicates that according to the Internet Law of Averages, there is an 85.4% chance you are a sweaty fat man.
Yes, I am a girl. Pamprin is far superior to Midol, the over-medicating menace.

I'm told that I must've been dropped on my head as a child.

Are playing cards games like magic the gathering and yu-gi-oh a turn off? to geeky girls?
I played Magic for awhile, but I have to say I don't understand Yu-Gi-Oh. It depends on the girl, and whether or not she's into it too. But usually, it's not a deal-breaker. Geek Girls are (usually) more self-entertaining than other girls and tend to be more okay with having some interests that aren't shared. We'll just go read our girly-books while you're playing.

I ask this in all seriousness, and hoping not to offend anyone, but it begs asking (again and again):

Why are you all crazy?

I suppose it relates to the genre, but I just don't know a sane gamer who is "full-on" and female - a lot of the guys are all right, just addicted, but the girls all seem to be addicted and crazy.

There are three types of Gamer girls.

1) The type, that only play games so they can whore attention from the male gamers.

2) Are the same as normal Male gamers, excluding looks, and certain gennitallia

3) Are guys.

What more needs to be said ?

Dude, are hot gamer girls a thing of the past or just extinct?
