Is there any really good description or art work of Master Chiefs face and appearance?

I've always wondered what he looked like under all of that gear...was he human at all? Or more like a robot?

I believe there's a description of him with his helmet off in The Flood novel, but if you're willing to read that then you're a braver man than I. As I recall the main point is that he's incredibly pale, as you would expect from someone who spends all their time with their entire body covered. I'm sure you can find the rest of it online if you look hard enough though.

Oh sorry, when I said you've have to be braver than me I meant because the book is absolutely terrible. I didn't personally enjoy any of Eric Nylund's stuff either, although I've met plenty of people who did so feel free to try that. Personally I'd recommend Contact: Harvest, because about half of it is written from the point of view of members of the Covenant. This means you get loads of interesting info about Covenant society without it feeling like it's been crowbarred in.

Isn't that kind of weird though? I mean in Halo the Her is essentially a broken human being who is a tool used by the government and military. (not saying it's bad just saying it's interesting)

At any point is he ever aware of this? Does he genuinely want to save humanity or is it just programming?

Also story wise what option would he have after earth is saved? he's not really a person anymore so would he just go into cryo...or...perhaps...well...the darker option.

It's adressed by non-spartans who interact with them, but it's never come up in his or most spartan's mind because they just don't think of that: They are brought up to complete missions, and do them well.

The only case of a spartan fully "quiting" was maria, and she retired and got married.

It has to do with the movement system and friction.

In COD and other modern shooters, you are more affected by gravity. In Halo, you are a spartan, so even what seems like a small jump or a walking pace is actually much higher or faster than any Olympic athlete could ever do. This is pretty easy to see if you go to campagin mode, and try to match an marine AI's movement. You literally have to crawl just to move at the same pace.

uhmm just want to post a few ive read the books and played all the games and these still kinda bug me.
1.sense halo wars happens before the events of the first halo are those Spartans still alive?!
2.at the end of halo3 was that the planet from halo wars that was being passed by at the end?
3. why the hell did we not have the much more effective first assault rifle from the first game in halo 2,3 or reach?
if any of these were answered before im sorry but i can only see 2 of you answer posts the 3rd is too long for the spoiler.
