I think this may not be Assassin's Creed III they are talking about, but one of the two planned DLC packs for Assassin's Creed 2. Honestly, I know multiplayer is often unnceccesary in some games, but I'm excited for this. I'm thinking they could have one player play an Assassin, and the other the target, and have it work like a deadly game of hide-and-go-seek. They could also have online parkour races, a la the racing challenges in the main title.

No... I don't....
Are you saying those are already spin offs?

I don't feel that they are... Just different games in the series for different platforms, because the full games wouldn't fit on the portable consoles...
And I don't see how that stops spin-offs?

If it's anything like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory multiplayer, then it's all good.
Exactly what i was thinking. spies vs. mercs = assasins vs. templars

assasin can only take a few hit must rely on stealth.

templars heavy armoured tanks who are slow and clumsy but can easily kill and assasin in open combat.

it could work but it would take lots of testing to make it fun and balenced.
I dont think the Assassins could pull off stealth against human enemies, if a Templar player sees an assassin then straight away he would run and kill him, one of the main points of the AC series is that your not hiding, rather blending in. If an NPC gaurd see's you, he won't do anything unless your doing something illegal or crazy. I hope I explained my point properly there, its a tad confusing...
i think they will make assassins have civilian outfits but just a bit different as in maybe the assassin's blade is sticking out or the holder .
and they could make it so the templars get to choose what type they want to be eg they can be the brute the seeker (i think it's called that )
a archer i can't remember what the last one is called and any of the new enemies they put in the next game .
also i think for the assassins it should be assassin's blades only to balance it

I think this is a silly idea spawned from the ongoing notion that in order for a game to be "good" it has to have multiplayer. I wonder if its going to be anything like BioShock 2 (at least they are trying to integrate it with the main story), where it's this weird little anomaly that raises eyebrow or two. Granted, I know its too early to really say anything critical, but...

Worst idea since making a game with a unbalanced multiplayer glad that didn't happen
