Like a better version of Skyrim, right? I'm glad they updated the engine.

Okay, that just looks bloody amazing. I was actually waiting for an Assassin's Creed game that changes the focus a bit from just big cities to some wilder country and this looks like it might be doing it.

Hmm, now I might just have to finish Revelations after all (retarded tower defense games...).

Wow. Games looks great. Though those might just be very detailed concept art to what they want done. So no guarantees that is what the final game will look like. I love the fact that they are getting into the wild with this. Heres hoping we get to climb some trees. Also I wonder what tribe the MC is from. Apache seems likely but depending on where they focus they could Mohawk or Oneida or some other non-six nations tribe. I hope they get into that.

Last four images are definitely concept art. The George Washington pic also looks the part.

Bribe away... (not that they're particularly expensive) and killing officials is easy (if they ever appear). Played once without ever needing to play that stupid shoe-horned minigame (except the tutorial one).

OT: Looks pretty good, though I get the feeling they've set it in this time period to milk as much out of it as they can (since American Revolutionary War leads into... French Revolutionary War/War of 1812/Napoleonic Wars).

That said, I'm getting a hard-on thinking about who can be killed... ¬_¬

And a part of me... the hopeful part, presumably, thinks that if they do eke three games out of it, it'll be better than AC:B/R... I will dream on.

In the meantime, looks as though les batards have suckered me again... =_=

Most of them look like cutscenes.

Also, I've been talking about this on another thread already.

True, but it's the fact that it was there in the first place that bothered me. It's insulting that Ubisoft would resort to tower defense games in such a huge title.

When I first heard about it, I wasn't that bothered, to be honest, since I hadn't had much exposure to tower defence games (which I had a naturally ambivalent attitude towards...) but fuck me, when I played it the rage just grew... the criticisms I have for its execution (not inclusion, mind) in AC:R are innumerable. It was just... so... unbelievably... ... ... shit. And I'm a trophy hunter, and that was the one I just could not be arsed to get.

LOL. Really?

Tower defense is bogus(in general, not just in AssCreed) but its whole impact on the game is minimal, it's literally ONE MISSION(you don't have to play it again if you bribe/kill officials) and one related achievement. And that mission is VERY easy to do. Tower Defense was a minor annoyance at most.

The problem with Revelations is that it was churned out too fast and it didn't make the best use of the great Constantinopole setting as well as it could have. The story was loose to say the least.

But it does have an awesome ending that closes the stories of both Ezio and Altair so I'll give it that at least. And Embers was awesome, everybody should watch it if they want closure.

Just because he had an apple doesn't mean that he is a templar. Gandhi had an apple but was killed by the templars in order to retrive it if I recall correctly. He could in fact be an assassin that believed in order to defeat the Britsh, who I'm pretty sure are controled by the templars at this time. Also the MC could be working with George, who was part of the freemasons. Also at this time there were two different groups of Freemasons and George could have been working with one and the Assassin decided that George's side was the better one.

Well I like the idea of playing as a native American but the setting seems kinda off for Assassin's Creed since there is a lack of huge cities with tall buildings, still looks interesting let's hope they don't fuck up.

Wilderness? Natural landscape? Stalking prey the native way? This could prove to be an interesting change of pace...

That definitely looks great, and I am certainly getting the game pretty early after release, whenever that may be :). However, I have to ask, since no-one else apparently has. All these 'leaks'... are they genuinely leaks, or are Ubisoft simply teasing us...?

On the one hand: DO WANT!

On the other: Increasingly worried about a rushed release schedule that would make even Call of Duty blush. The guys at Ubisoft might well be the hardest workers in the whole of the games industry for all I know, but 1 year in between games, several times over, in a series that is all about expansive, detailed environments and non-linear gameplay? It's just not long enough. The cracks were starting to show in Revelations and I really hope this fresh start for the series isn't spoiled by trying to get it out of the door too fast.

Shame that I'll be a student by then, so it's probably going to be a choice between this and Halo 4 over which one I can get when it comes out, if at all. Either way, please don't suck.
