I think my reaction to this is a mixture of, "fuck, Ubisoft's milking this series dry!" and, "hey, I like the idea. Let's see where they go with it!" I'm not sure; Assassin'S Creed is one of my favourite 7th generation franchises. I hope Ubisoft don't try what COD did. (Although as the sucker I am, I'll still probably lay down £60 for the special edition. Damn you, Ubisoft!)
I think that, as of yet, Ubisoft has released a new AC title that is the exact same as the previous version, but with a new coat of paint.

Anyways, I do love Ezio, he is such a more interesting character than Altair was. But it should be interesting to see how all three of them fit into AC:Revelations.

OK, I liked Brotherhood, but enough is enough. I don't want any more Ezio. He was great in AC2, but forgettable in Bro.

AT LEAST, they're changing countries this time around.

As big fan of the story in these games, I'm pretty upset that they're straying so far from the regular trilogy format. But whatever, I'm sure they game itself will be totally awesome and I love the gameplay just as much, so overall I'm exited.

I know this is getting _very_ tangential, but I just had to post this:

Kind of disappointed. I'd have preferred a new time period and new hero. Ezio's cool and all, but he had his run. Twice.
Pretty much this. Ezio is badass but having someone new and fresh would be rewarding. It was already somewhat awkward at the 2nd half of Brotherhood, because the characters were all getting older and the drive overall was steadily decreasing. With that said, however, if Ezio had a remake-feel, and I mean -complete- redo, it might work.

Ezio is indeed the most interesting protagonist they have so far. However, they seem to be using him as an excuse not to move forward. There is so much more that's yet to be explored and can't be because Ubisoft is too busy cashing in on Ezio.

Why the fuck would they call it Constantinople?

Also the second game in the trilogy has a trilogy of it's own. I feel like they're afraid of tackling a game mainly focusing on Desmond.

Well this made my day. I am excited. I guess I will see if my Gamestop will let me reserve it when I go to the mall.

Sweet, can't wait for the release date on this one. Hopefully, they won't pull a Brotherhood again and release the PC version months after the console one.

*sigh* hope is for the hopeless :(

They should add Co-op one payer Ezio the other Altair. The goal kill the laws of time.

Yes! Eek, so excited.
I love Ezio, so another game featuring him is fantastic, I'm so glad Altair is coming back, still don't like Desmond though. Hopefully Ubisoft will do something good with his character.

I don't know why people get annoyed at this adding to the story line, Brotherhood was in no way and "expansion pack", it was a fully fledged game and improved AC2. Sure it seemed a little added onto the end, but there are other games *couch*ME2*coughcough* that were comtinuations of the story from the previous game. If Revelations is along the same lines (story continuation-wise) I will be more than content. The fact Ubi is beefing it up with Altair is a bonus.

And hey, who knows - maybe we'll finally find out just why Constantinople got the works.

Unfortunately, that's nobody's business but the Turks'.
Hey, HEY! Finally someone makes a They Might Be Giants refrence on this site!

Also, I can't wait to play as Altair again. I mean, as good as Ezio is, it's about time we return to the man who started it all!

More Assassins creed is always a good thing. Kinda miffed that Desmond will be featured, but Altair should balance him out.
Why does everybody hate Desmond?

I'd agree with that, and take it one step further. As wonderful as cliffhangers and mysteries can be in a series, it can only go on for so long before the intrigue you originally had starts to dry up. I think Ubisoft should really start addressing some of the plot threads Ubisoft started in the original Assassin'S Creed, such as what happened to Altair, and what is actually going on in Desmond's time. (Through emails detailing carnage in Africa and freak natural disasters, Ubisoft as a few questions to answer, the majority of which are simply explaining what the hell is going on!)

I hope for the life of me that Revelations isn't filler; I have a feeling that AC3 is still coming out in November 2012. Will both games be worth buying? Let's find out in the coming months!

I'd like to say I called it first; but then also say that I'm a little disappointed in the 'laziness'.

However, I will keep my mind open, and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there is a fourth assassin teased or, and I really hope this is what will happen, the end of the game will show a 'glitch' in the animus and a short snippet of the final assassin we will control. A legendary assassin.

At least a new locale is guaranteed, of which I am pleased. As much as I like Ezio (his master assassin figurine sitting astride my bookshelf attests to this) too much of a good thing can shallow it.

I'm curious as to they're going to place Altair back into the show though, what with the ancestry chain already having been shown and Altair at the time appearing to still be a very small deal.

Just need the film to be announced that will tell Desmond's story instead of having to hash the gameplay to accommodate and I will be more than content.

Damn. Can we not have something different? That was the charm of AC. Getting to play in a varied of time-periods.

I just hope this one has a lot more interesting stuff in the main game. Brotherhood I felt was dull as it just felt that it was plodding onwards and trying to milk more out of Ezio.
