Love: Beck Mongolian Chop Squad. Just because it's about music.
Hate: Bleach. It was interesting at first, but it's gone on for too long now.

Welcome to the NHK. This is my favourite anime, out of the 20 or so I`ve watched. Great writing, acting, characters, and story.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. *dodges rotten tomato* I don't know why, but out of all the anime I've watched, this is the only one I haven't enjoyed. Not one bit. Even stuff like Clannad and Elfin Lied, which I can acknowledge are pretty bad, I enjoy at least a bit. But Evangelion... It was like a chore. Watch one episode per night, then you can go watch something you like.

I don't watch anime, so I'll go with manga instead. Hope that's okay.

Love: From Eroica With Love. It's got a good set of characters, it's funny, and it has continuity without trying to have some big finale towards which it's working.

Hate: Hot Gimmick. The protagonist is annoying as hell, the two love interests are horrible people and the mangaka's idea of a healthy relationship is, quite frankly, sick.

Love: Digimon. Specifically season 3 (Digimon Tamers). Characters are amazingly well developed plot is deep, mature themes, it dark, and overeall amazing.I would say Avatar too, but that's American so I guess it doesn't qualify.
Hate: Naruto with a passion. And most others other than Sailor moon and Hellsing.

I'm not the anime fan I once was. Additionally, I'm a heretic because I prefer Robotech to Macross. Having said that:

LOVE:

Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Porco Rosso, Howl's Moving Castle - Man, I love me some Studio Ghibli stuff.

Cowboy Bebop - Great music, fun concept, and a different theme every episode.

Paranoia Agent - I love that kind of stuff. The creepy opening credits sequence grabbed me and never let go.

Welcome to the NHK - See above.

FLCL, sort of - As Kermi said, probably the best way I've ever seen someone try to describe the feeling of going through puberty. And I loved the experimental animation. Not sure it's something I'd want to watch again, though.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold - Oh, man, you guys got me all nostalgic!

HATE:

Naruto - I sat through 14 episodes of this at art school because some guy brought it to the studio on his laptop. Repetitive, with lots of pointless yelling.

Dragonball Z - See above. Fortunately, I only watched one episode of this.

Love : Lucky Star, Seitokai no Ichizon and Azumanga Daioh. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of them at the moment. I just started watching Welcome to the N.H.K, and am enjoying it so far.

Hate : Not really sure, since I am not as clued up in anime as most other people here, so I most likely haven't seen as much as the rest of you.

Love: Kino's Journey. It's a deep classy anime with a truly enjoyable main character. There is no real plot, or story. You just experience Kino's travels with her, almost like you're a passenger on her bike.

Hate: This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. The name, and description of the anime implies a philosophical journey through the heart and the mind. Discovering that though Nihilism seems to be an applicable philosophy, that it can, NAY will be proven non-applicable Through two beings. Even though they are natural enemies they still fall in love. No matter how much their bond is tested their love never wavers.
HOWEVER the reality is just a shallow, disappointing anime whose plot can be summarized thusly. Tits, tits, tits, boy pulls hidden unknown powers out of his ass, transforms into generic anime being #19477693847690432769857439687529803467950384276987, fight, fight, explosion, tits, creepy cousin crush, explosion, fight, tits, tits, tits, fight, tits, tits, uncertain ending, roll credits.

I loved Fullmetal Chemist. It had an amazing plot, and well written characters. I also loved Love Hina for some reason. As for what I hate... probably Death Note. I dunno why, I just couldn't get into it.

Love: To many to count, but lets go with the classics Cowboy Bebop, Elfen Lied and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Hate: ZombieLoan. For the love of *$&%#, spare yourself the time, go play some Pacman or something. Cutoff leads to a thin plot in the beginning and then becoming overly complicated in the end, without any conclusion whatsoever. Action scenes consisting of STILL IMAGES. Cheese jokes, not really funny. So yeah...

Loved: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing (Ultimate), Azumanga Daioh.

Hated: I don't know, as I don't really watch an anime series until I know what I am letting myself in for. If I think it'll be crap, I won't watch it.

I'll stick to two since I've seen so much.

Love: Durarara! An interesting slice of life show that starts out lighthearted but then becomes filled to the brim with gang wars and the supernatural.

Hate: Kurogane no Linebarrels. Ugly art combined with so-so mecha battles and a completely unlikable protagonist? I'm surprised I actually gave this crap show 3 episodes worth of my time.

Fucking weird shit.
Isn't that kind of a bullshit statement considering you most likely haven't seen every animated thing Japan has ever produced?

Like:
Chobits, I, My, Me Strawberry Eggs, Ōkami to Kōshinryō (Spice and Wolf), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiya, Fruits Basket, and a lot of others.

Some ehs for me are animes that were awesome when we were kids and when we probably didn't even know what anime was. But animes like Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon and the such. I must say, Card Captor Sakura is still pretty amazing to me.

For ones I dislike, I'd have to say animes like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, animes that are mainly for fan-service (though I do like what I see, I don't generally watch anime just for the pretty girls in scantily clad outfits) among other animes.
