Anonymous can eat a dick.
Isn't it amazing how most of this site loved anon and the second that it might be anon doing something that affects them, they turn like rabid dogs :p

And just as a point, the people who are doing this, if we believe sony, are anon, because we don't know who they are.

duuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

we love you too.

OT: They should of announced that PSN would be going offline due to an intrusion, instead...... four days later....... saying that they are rebuilding the entire infrastructure of their services.

Even after Sony admitted to shutting down the system, without warning to their customers, I wonder how many people will still blindly claim Anon did it like the little sheep they are.
A lot, because Anonymous did it.

A royal fuck up like this doesn't just happen, and leaders of Anonymous really only has artificial control over the group.

Guys, I really don't think it is Anonymous. I mean yeah they are assholes and dicks, but to take down the PSN and fuck over millions, it really can't be them. They would more or less do just the website like before, and more or less target the people behind the Hotz case (which is why they stepped in). So I ain't blaming them, but I still hate their collective ass.

Anyways, I do have to say good for Sony for trying to nip this in the anus while the have the chance. It isn't a quick fix, more like an overhaul. I do understand that they have an ego, and feel ashamed that they got hacked sadly enough, but I still support them for the sake of gaming. Play on brothers, play on. And when we get our network back, we will fly freely though the intertubes and game on for days to come. Until them, got to do some endurance races on Gran Turismo 5.

In this thread: People who have no idea how "Anonymous" actually works. It's quite hilarious actually, I can't even be fucked typing another response to this whole issue explaining it. But you realize how many different hackers across the world there are and how much these kind of things occur right? The only reason you hear about "Anon" more is because it gets sites like this hits and gives everybody somebody to point the finger at, good job for falling right into it.

Yeah. Sony is always fucking with our consoles and games. I can't count the number of times I fired up Uncharted only to have Kevin Butler pop up and say "No, *****. You ain't playing nothin' today."

Incidentally, nobody at Sony has ever said Anonymous is involved. I like conjecture as much as the next guy [small](not much)[/small], but what they've said is this:
"An external intrusion on our system has affected our PlayStation Network and Qriocity services."
That fits with the alleged devkit thing. If there's a significant vulnerability in the PSN, then taking it offline to fix those problems makes plenty of sense.

What I don't get is why people are saying "OMG HOW DARE YOU ANON" and "OMG SONY THIS IS A COVERUP YOU MONSTERS" when neither of those make sense. Anonymous is much too incompetent for something like this, and stealing content from the PSN is an external intrusion. It doesn't look like anybody's lying, per se.

Of course we should never ask why a service this large and important was this vulnerable. But either way it plays along with Sony's usual tune, "We didn't do it!" Its a shame really, Sony used to be a respected name.

For the love of God!

This site really has some of the most ignorant pieces of shit that I have ever seen on the internet!

Oh yes, you can have an opinion. Its just not a very good opinion when you're blaming everything on a "Thing" that you have no fucking clue how it works or behaves!

...
Rebuilding it? Okay.. Thats, kind of extreme measure.

i can only hope that they also add a few more features as a sort "Sorry we pissed u off" gift
Don't get your hopes up, PSN is a free service, and unless you payed for PSN+ or use DCUO I doubt they'd bother giving you something for free.

About as many as will blindly defend "anon" like the little sheep they are.

Also, please. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis If you're going to try to use them for dramatic effect, at least learn how they work.
The only reason people are defending them right now is because odds are, they aren't the problem. Since they even said they didn't want to affect the PSN users, and only Sony itself.

Man, I hope there's a special level of hell for the likes of hackers and child molesters. Anonymous or not, whoever messed with the PSN should go ahead and die.

Its funny that if this is Anonymous, they are contradicting what they said in one of their previous videos posted up on YouTube. That they are "not targeting the PSN users, but Sony itself". But if this is Anonymous doing this, (like I stated above) targeting PSN directly affects the users.
yeah but it could be a rogue group anonymous isn't really "united" as they have 9000 members world wide so im sure at least some could have attacked psn and still have been successful number wise.

the only question is if anon is lying about not knowing it or actually true in their excuse that they cant control what everyone does, in my opinion, i think its probably some rogue members,

its not in the interest of anonymous as a whole to screw with psn and piss of millions of gamers. it is in their interest to maybe attack sony which they said they would do, while leaving game networks alone. i guess we'll see.
