Destroyed by impatience? :p

A bit...over dramatic isn't it?

Well, I'm sort of a perfectionist. Anything not perfect is 'destroyed' in my eyes.

[small]maybe a bit over dramatic, yes.[/small]

Truth be told, this RP seems to be on the more serious side, and I do believe it has potential. I'd just hate to see this RP start, knowing it could have been better if just given more time. But then again, just waiting is not sure to improve the RP either.

I agree, but still, if you look over the sheets that have been submitted, there's already a whole veriety of characters to choose from.

I'm of the Hairminator persuasion regarding this. We will wait. Threewords and the my enigmatic "writer friend" have yet to post their sheets, and I'd love to have one or both of them join us. I'm afraid I won't be waiting for Aqua, however, as she may have pulled a 3W (3w may have pulled a 3w as well, you never know).

While we're on the "pulling a 3W" topic, I'd like to make one thing clear. If you have to be gone for a few days or a week or however long, that's fine with me. Your character(s) will be in good hands. But if you straight up disappear for several days without telling anyone that you're leaving, you will return to a dead character.

Ok, I have two questions.
1.) What types of helms do they wear? A or B?
A.
or B.

Not these exact ones, but they are examples.
I am asking this so that can work out the appearance better.

2.)] I am getting very excited for this to start and pray that i get picked.

...ok, that last one wasn't a question. It was more of a statement. But it changes nothing!

More like A. I don't have a clear image of the plate armor in my head, but the Guard's Armor from Oblivion is along the lines of what I'm imagining. Dull, gray, and uniform. Soldier-esque.

Alright sounds good, now, do you want me to carry the "required shield" on my character's back, or can I not carry one? What's the go on that? You didn't mention that from my sheet, so I thought it might have been okay, but maybe you just over-lapped it or something. :/

Wowee. I smell high-grade ordinance. And by ordinance, I mean argh-pee.
Name: Argan Wertek

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Appearance: Argan is short. To compensate, he has spent much of his life building muscle, resulting in a physique not unlike that of a five and a half foot tall metal-encased barrel. While his black hair is kept short in accordance with regulation so as to not disturb his almost-black pupils, he never shaves, resulting in a beard reaching the center of his chest in length. As a result of this unusual combination and his choice in weaponry, his fellows have taken to calling him "the dwarf", much to his chagrin. His face is adorned with a jagged scar running down the left cheek, resulting in any perception of beauty being quickly eliminated. Scars like these are present on the rest of his body as well. Each has a story of its own.

Equipment: Argan's preferred weapon is a long, oak-handled poleaxe about equal in height to its wielder. Due to a combination of the axe's size and weight requiring both hands and equipment regulations, he carries his standard issue shield on his back and a matching sword with which to use it in his belt. For protection, Argan wears a suit of fairly unremarkable iron plate armor. On the back of the armor, amidst a smattering of scratches, the words "Argan was here" are scratched into the metal, most likely by Argan's own sword.

Personality: Except when being called derisive names based on his height, Argan maintains a surprisingly calm demeanor. This is obtained by a combination of his complete abstinence from alcohol, which he perceives as a solution to nothing, and his tendency to not share his innermost thoughts with even his closest friends. His attitude makes a sharp turn in heated battle, however, and unfortunately, that turn is not for the better. Argan detests chaotic scrambles due to his inability to process so much information. If battles were fought his way, there would only be protracted one on one duels with a strictly enforced code of conduct.

Backstory: At an early age, Argan and his mother were cast out of their home by his father, resulting in a brief period of homelessness. The crushing uncertainty of not knowing whether or not there would be food tomorrow combined with the dead of winter caused a revelation for Argan: he could not afford to become reliant on a single source for food and shelter, for what would happen should that one source disappear? Thus was born Argan's crushing fear of poverty.

Money is Argan's entire reason for having become a soldier. With no exceptional talents except the ability to swing a really big stick, Argan quickly volunteered upon hearing of three square meals a day and a salary. Having friends is nice too.

Extra: Argan is a pack rat. His fear of lacking food and shelter have resulted in a desire for "shiny things" to keep and potentially sell. Unfortunately, he has yet to actually find anything of value.

Oh yea, sorry. Skipped my mind. Yes, the soldiers are required to have some kind of shield. This isn't just a rule I'm making, it's going to be part of the RP world. The Legion itself requires all of it's soldiers to carry some form of shield, as they see the importance of it. Now, that being said, this unit has been "stranded" in a podunk little logging town on the itchy lower backside of nowhere for over a month, so a few regulations are bound to have been broken. That'll all be worked out once we actually begin, however, so for now just give him a shield.

Giving him a shield then ;)

EDIT: He has one now, don't count on him keeping it very long though ;)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I made a designated archer, and to fit in a shield I had to give him an entire 2nd weapon load out, and I was not happy with how it turned out, at all.

EDIT: Liking the new solider and villager sheets, although I must say Jutani copies my character a bit, as far as personality goes. It's alright though, they have quite a few fundamental differences that I'll be sure to emphasize should I get in. They might -become/already be- rivals in some ways, though.

EDIT: Edited my Villager, I found the village lacking a Caretaker type.

Don't worry, he'll add one soon enough and you'll feel worthless. Either that, or you will later realize someone has written almost the exact same villager character.

Actually I'm going through every Villager to make sure that ISN'T the case xD!

EDIT: Nope, there's no other Caretaker:D (Y)
Final EDIT: Changed my soldier's equipment. Not two daggers, but a shortsword and shield.
Final Final EDIT: This is the most dedication I have shown to an RP before it even starts, wow :/ Good work Yorg! :D

It comes to my attention that I am LATE!

Name: Jonathon 'Ol'Jon' Shannow

Age: 46

Gender: Male

Appearance: Though ageing, Jon remains unbent by time; what was once a tall lean young man has become a gaunt scarecrow held together by wiry muscle and sheer bloody-minded tenacity. Wearing a great, shabby long-coat that was once fine, he makes a formidable sight as he stalks along, his malicious scowl broken only by a rare sardonic bearing of the teeth that only just passes for a smile

Equipment: Light leather armor, covered by a now shabby greatcoat, the required shield and a long, thin and wickedly shard saber

Personality: On first sight, Jon seems to be a spiteful bastard full of bile and bitterness toward the entire world, and when one gets to know him better, one realizes this is all true. However, those who have fought beside him have noticed that despite his almost constant abuse and bad temper, he develops powerful loyalties which make him an excellent ally. Once past the apparent hatred, and with an acceptance that Jon viciousness is merely his way of making sure everyone knows he's still alive, Jon can make a reliable, undemanding and supportive friend

Backstory: Son of a young woman and a passing travelling trader, Jon learnt from a young age to be independent, and without need of others support. Used to the scorn given to the fatherless, he created a well of his own spite with which to respond.
He idolized the soldiers, and listed the first chance he could desperate for a chance of a new life where his skills counted more than his ancestry. 30 years later, he has become known for his trustworthiness, his brutal discipline and his mechanical efficiency. But as the years begin to tell, he learnt to exchange the vigor of youth for the cunning of age, and surprised people as he continue to remain both alive and dangerous
