At the very least there should be more research into whether similar, but undeniably different forms of entertainment (likesayforexample shooting someone in the face in RL and shooting someone in the face in a game) act more as an outlet for extreme behaviours or actively encourage them. Or have absolutely no effect whatsoever on regular well-adjusted people.
If on the other hand the government really hasn't accounted for all the consequences of their legislation then perhaps they shouldn't be making it so readily. Or be in power at all. Or even be allowed to make their own choices.
