EDIT: Actually the tried-and-true chestnut is "I had to answer the phone". I'm assuming this woman will not get any harsher of a "sentence" than someone in that situation.

I stopped playing those games. They slowed down my computer.

But letting your 1-yr-old son bathe by himself, which then led to him DROWNING, means that you are a horrible parent and should not have had kids. I sure as hell hope she doesn't have anymore children or she'll let the same thing happen to them by letting them starve!

Edit: I just now realized that if she has other kids, she'll probably cook them something to eat on Cafe World before she lets them starve.

As much as I hate facebook and the shitty games on it, they aren't the problem. Whether she was on a computer, watching TV or just staring out a window its her fault for being a terrible parent. Pay attention to your god damn kids people.

I'm going to come out and say that babies die. I'm not saying she was a great mother (I actually know nothing about her except for this horrible incident, and neither does anyone else here) but she's going to pay for her mistake for the rest of her life. Everyone on here, has made a mistake that if a baby was in the room, it would have killed that baby.

Still was a horrible mistake to leave a baby alone in water (or really, alone at all), but I can't be too upset about someone else accidentally killing their baby.. baby's hardly have a personality and die at the drop of a hat. Most new parents would be better off in a lot of ways without a baby.

I normally do the same thing, but come right out and say "Natural Selection". But, sadly, it's not applicable here.

Natural selection is less about who has the most kids, but who has the most grandkids (AKA: Kids who grow up to produce kids of their own). It still applies.

No criminal case has been proven yet.

But she has admitted to leaving her 1 year old alone. She is not innocent, she is guilty of causing the death of her baby. That simple. Doesn't matter what the court decides, she killed her baby through negligence.

You see a single report of an incident and believe it to be 100% accurate and impartial? God, I hope you're never in a jury.

Actually, blind bravado and a highly-trusting nature are valued. If you know all the ins and outs of legal standards of guilt, etc. and can keep your rationality in emotional situations, the judge and attorneys probably don't want you on their jury. Your job is to be convinced of something, not go about over-thinking it yourself.
