Playing as Kong in Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie. Oh yeah, and the name of that game.

The part in RE4 where Lois gets WANG-paled by Saddler.
How its never really explained why Magashi keeps coming back in PSU.
How you suddenly get magic powers in Condemed 2.

There's many more, but ill stop there.

Really? i remember being 6 and watching my cousins playing ocarina of time, then slapping them upside the head with the controller after i figured out the water temple for them. I loved that game.

my moment would have to be any arbitrary fetch and search quests, like finding the minerals and gases in mass effect. that IS one of my favorite games of all time right now, but god dam if those stupid find the random crap quests didnt ruin the experience.

I dunno why everyone hated the one in Ocarina of Time, I did that one hands down easy.
I somehow don't believe you, as that's almost universally considered one of the most difficult puzzles in gaming history.

On topic: For me, it would have to be the dice-rolling in DMC4. When I first came up to it I was like "uggh... another adventure game puzzle?" but it turned out to be, roll the dice, move up spaces, repeat. There was no purpose of putting it in, just to extend the gameplay time. That itself made me not want to finish the game because it was one of the worst decisions I'd ever seen in a game.

Also because my disc is unplayable beyond Act 12 because GameStop decided to scratch it for me before giving it to me.

I remember one time in Star Wars: Battlefront, I was playing Rebels of Endor, sneaking up on an Empire command post, not seeing anyone, perfectly camoflauged in with the ferns...
when a Dark Trooper lands right in front of me after jumping haflway across the field with his jetpack to shoot me in the face with a shotgun.
I just ruined that one game for me... seriously? how did he see me?

And the laughing scene in FFX. Won't explain that much more...

The fucking tar monsters in Condemned 2. In fact. Just Condemned 2.

My least favorite moment would be the shitty 'same screen repeatedly endlessly till you find the way out desert/dungeon/cake shop that appears in every god damn RPG ever made.

mgs2's naked raiden section (shiver).

every.single.chariot race in PoP:the two thrones.

speaking of PoP: this isnt really an incident and it didnt really ruin the game, but the experience.... the points in the Warrior Within game where the annoying heavy metal starts playing.

There were parts without heavy metal?

yes, there were parts were there was either no music, or even hints at a return to the previous game's arabian tones.

When the cultists show up in Dead Rising. After that, I have to spend part of my Small Chainsaw life into cutting through annoying cultists whom might 'half-life' me.

Oh, and a horror story from Dead Rising. I was at my friends house and he was playing through Overtime to get True Ending. It started out as fun, then with the fetch quest it got annoying, then with queen time, that's when it got bad. Things went smoothly, but when he needed one more, he couldn't find anymore queen carriers. He ran around for quite about fifteen real-time minutes, before he ran out of orange juice and went to the grocery store to restock. While trying to get the orange juice, he accidentally broke one of the queens. We did a quick recount of the queens he had, and he had had enough queens prior to breaking this one, and he'd been running around for that time for no reason. Once we realised that, he got extremely angry, to the point where his whole face turned red and a vein in his forehead started to swell.

I also felt the turret sequences in KOTOR were lame and unnesecary.

About 90% of MGS2, the stories and characters got more and more stupid as it went along. I've found it hard to take MGS seriously ever since.
Shame. MGS3 outdid even the first game.

The completely out of place vertical-scrolling F-22 raptor style minigame-thing in Jade Empire.

I mean, what the fuck?

The Peragus mission in KOTOR 2.
Wait what? The beginning of the game? Yeah it was crap, but it was just the intro level man.
Exactly. A non-skippable bad intro part in a good game. SEE SUBJECT ABOVE.

SIDENOTE: I don't like skipping levels, just so you know. And Taris was my favourite part of KOTOR 1. I just hated Peragus. Deal with it.
