I know a lot of people that love progressive rock and classical music but hardly any of them know of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. They're not one of the lesser bands in the 70's, they had songs you could call the really powerful and they made one of the last Piano Concerto's (and a great one at that).

Another band not many know of is Deathspell Omega. They had some pretty good shit, I was quite surprised when I first heard them. However, they're not easy to listen too, fuckin' insane black metal with lyrics you'll never understand, that kind of thing.

Nice find there, they remind me of Finntroll and Skyforger. I always enjoy me some folk metal, although Skyforger is still my favorite. Something about Latvian pagan folk metal really works for me.

Oddly enough, I have 3 Counting Crows tattoos.

Actually... as far as I know Nightcore is not an actual band. I love it but from what I have been told, it's just taking a song and speeding it up, mixing it up a bit, and giving it alot of bass. All the songs I have heard by them, well over 30 because I think its awesome, already exist. They've just been mixed by random people and labeled 'Nightcore'
I could be wrong but I think thats what it is.
