They have officially stated that PC is their primary platform and that everything will be scaled down to accommodate for older PC's and consoles
The proof of this will be in the pudding. There have been plenty of other developers to claim a PC-focus prior to release, and then the game turns out to be complete ass on PC. It encourages me to hear this from them, but past burns leave me a skeptic.
It was in one of their interviews I believe... so its solid fact.

Said it once, and I'll say it again.
The less CoD players playing Battlefield, the FUCKING BETTER.

I don't want to be in a squad trying to talk tactics with twelve year olds screaming obscenities to have a large internet penis, and being extremely intolerant towards anyone of their own race. Never, EVER had that issue on Bad Company 2. Never.

Keep those screeching little cunts away from me.

I don't want them to make a damn CoD killer, I want them to make BF3. My guess is that the single player will be a CoD clone and the multiplayer will be classic BF. Given that we've only seen the CoD-ish single player, we can only hope so...

I want Battlefield 3, I want it really badly and if I could I'd buy a PC just to play it.

Buuuuuuuuut I seriously wish EA would consider an approach that amounts to more than two meatheads duking it out for King of the Hill status. Call of Duty has a scary amount of fan loyalty and billions of dollars of marketing probably won't stop that. Maybe Call of Duty will eventually alienate its own fanbase, who knows? But screaming "buy this, not that!" is, in my opinion, a terrible way to market something.

EA announcing a huge marketing campaign does not raise my confidence. While I am confident that DICE have done a good job with BF3, an EA marketing campaign attached to it fills me with dread.

Generally speaking, gamers who will buy BF3 have decided already. They way to get more sales? Show the game. Leave the terrible terrible marketing campaigns behind and let the quality of your product speak for itself.

If it has good coop then it may be the first BF I'll buy since BF2 (its lack of coop turned me off BF ever since)

bad company 2 surprised me and bf3 looks the mutt's nuts if cod and that came out the same day battlefield would be my first choice. nothing like wall banging someone by actually tearing out the wall and killing them with the wall fragments! i also hope the spotting system returns as well as that is a good feature lacking in most games!

Is Battlefield 3 on your wish list?
No. Not it is not.

Nothing against the game series as such, I just don't tend to like "realistic war shooters", if I am playing a shooter, I want some sci-fi mixed in there somewhere, it is much more interesting to me.

Looks great, and i like seeing the CoD vs BF flame wars in the forums, although both games remind me of hot girls, they look good, everyone wants them, but despite their outward apperance their substance never lives up to the hype or the pretty facaud. Neither game does anything new or exciting but damn are they fun and look amazing... I guess the only problem with that is you dont want to invite a bunch of friends to play your hot girl with gernades and a noob tube... or maybe you do! (i dont judge...freaks)
