My mother was going to name me Prudence. I'm not kidding. She was really going to name me that. She wanted to call me Pru for short.

Thank god she settled for Megan.
Pru doesn't sound like a bad name, I think that's a pretty normal name for a girl, right? And prudence is considered on of the four cardinal virtues, i forget what the others are, must look this up.

My mother had twisted ideas for names for little ol' me; Kai, Zach, Rai...

In the end I got named after my great grandfather. I prefer two syllables in my name anyway.

Same here dude! I was going to be Barbara. :p

I wouldn't change my name though. It's a tribute to my grandfather. And I like it too.

I was originally going to be called Damian but my mum had just recently watched The Omen. Strange that a movie played a part in my name.

If I'd been a boy, I would've been Kurt (Kurt Arendt, what a horrible name). I wouldn't change my first name (it's surprisingly uncommon, I've found), but I loathe my middle name, so I'd likely change that.

My mom was thinking about the name Sarah, but she has the belief that one should wait until they actaully see the baby before naming. She says when she saw me for the first time, she knew instantly I would never be a Sarah, so she named me Melinda instead.

I was going to be Zach (and my parents often joked about calling me Rasputin.) Instead, my dad named me after Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes.

It was gonna be either Omar or Maximilian, in honor of poets Omar Hayam or Maximilian Voloshin, respectively. I lucked out.

I have never met anyone named Prudence. Ever.

Anyway, oddly enough, I was called a prude (among other things) all throughout high school. Though the name fits me, the relentless taunting has made me completely biased against it.

I was going to be "Scott". But when I was born, apparently I didn't look like a "Scott" so it's my middle name instead

I was going to be Zachary.
But I don't think I'm a Zack. I think I'm a fitting Tim.
"There are some who call me....Tim?"
