Well you'll just have to not rely on an auto-lock-on easy mode weapon, which in the end will make you a better player and you'll probably end up having more fun playing the game that way.

Well it was 1 kit with rifle but it had a really short range. Proper rifles like the Kar had a slightly longer range than say a Thompson. You also had to aim it as there was no lunge/auto lock on. Another was that you bashed from the right and it had a striking arc so you had a small chance of hitting someone on your left side. Oh and by short range you would be so close if the person could hear you breathing they would think you were a rapist/stalker you would have to be so close. Oh pistols were 2 hits but you could get a headshot bash that was 1 hit with them.

Well that sounds cool... certainly better than getting insta-killed by someone accidentally knifing the air five feet behind you.

Yep. Remove it from normal multiplayer but have a special playlist for it. That way, everyone can play MP without quickscopers and the quickscopers will stop bitching because they can quickscope to their heart's content with people who enjoy exploiting autoaim.

Quickscoping should be ok if they don't have Sleight Of Hand pro on snipers. It was fine in COD4.

I doubt Akimbo shotguns will be back and if they are they will probably be a primary and utterly shit like they are in Black Ops.

They can't really fix quick scoping because the problem with it is that it abuses the aim assist on consoles. No one does it on the PC and if they do they genuinely have to have quick and accurate reflexes. No in the last one you could on dual wield pistols and some SMGs. Personally, I thought dual wielding was pointless in BO.

Well it did end up with interesting duals.

People want to be able to quickscope on people who aren't also quickscoping. How would a playlist where everyone could only use submachine guns work? Or LMGs? It would, at a basic level, function, but those playlists wouldn't have much variety because everyone would likely be using the same, or at least similar, tactics (rushing for SMGs, and complaining about how much LMGs suck, respectively). Meaning no variety of playstyle.

I'm liking the way those perks are looking. Separating the perks that make you invisible to UAV/Thermal and being invisible to offensive killstreaks like a chopper... brilliant.

Point Guard. Best idea yet. 2 assists = 1 kill towards the killstreak. I like that.

I've heard that Battlefield 3 will STILL have only 12 v 12 on consoles making it another boring game of finding nobody like BC:2 was so I'm still interested in MW3.

That's the only ability that I really, really think the game would be better without. I can't be the only one that thinks rewarding people's deaths with a cheap, no-skill kill is a stupid idea. At least with second chance and the like you had to aim and shoot someone to get the kill.
I have no problem with it being there as long as player movement and terrain mapping makes it actually possible to move away from it in time or they remove its massive kill radius. I do think that second chance needs to be removed or changed radically, especially in hardcore where the pistol is a one shot kill. Here's a proposed solution:

Rank 1: Allows you to fall on the ground and be revived by other users of second chance if they arrive within 10 seconds of death.
Rank 2A: Lets you pick 1 sidearm or melee weapon to equip on the ground, but reduces your lifespan by half.
Rank 2B: Doubles the time allowed to revive and makes you visible on the mini-map for both enemies and allies, also, you can be revived by anyone.

I also hope that the perks have upgrades that have drawbacks as well as bonuses. That way the advanced players will only have the benefit of increased choice versus drawback-free power boosts.

OT: Fix claymores, they are not explosives, they are stationary shotguns. If you don't have a spot-on connection by the time you hear the click you have already died in the game server, so it becomes an infuriating weapon for people who are already getting fucked by the 500ms ping.

You need to stop assuming you have some sort of authority over people you hold no such authority over.
1. All the interviews at E3 were stating COD4 as the blueprint for MW3.

2. Asking for a civil, balanced discussion free of pointless hate posts (like yours, for example) is different to claiming authority over people.
