Mass Effect PC completely free. One of the admins over on the forums offered me a free copy, probably to stop me stirring up trouble.

It worked, too.

the deals on steam are fantastic. orange box being the most obvious but I also got secrets of monkey island for £3.50 last weekend, shamefully I hadn't played it before then and didn't entirely believe the hype. I do now.

Alpha Centauri for £2 at a boot fair (with the original box and manual, which I have since lost). Or Planescape Torment for £1 (£33 second hand on Amazon).

Bought Assassin's Creed last week for $20. Unfortunately, I feel very late to the party...

Edit: Also, Fallout 3 Collector's Edition for $40. It wasn't even on sale or anything, that was the regular price. I was amazed.

I got oblivion for -$2. Negative because my friend payed me to play it and tell him if it was good. Yes, he is to busy to play the games he buys
You win the thread instantly.

I don't buy many new games now, being a penniless student, but I've seen really cheap used games (great quality, I've bought some myself in the past) for as little as £1.50 at CEX (UK). Brilliant stuff :)

Well I bought Titan quest and the axpansion, plus Neverwinter Nights 2 yesterday for a total of 10 dollars, and I've only played titan quest so far but it looks like I'm gonna get a LOT of time out of these games

I once took a copy of Max Payne 2 labeled at $2, only to find that it actually cost 75 cents. That was pretty awesome. I also got a year subscription for Xbox Live gold for $25, because it came with two Arcade games whose redemption codes had expired, so they just knocked the price down to compensate. That was a good day...
