Vanilla Oblivion used for $5 (PS3), Batman: AA for $35 about a month after release, Battlefield Bad Company for $10 only a year after release, Orange Box for $30, Far Cry for $3, Smash Bros Melee for $5, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for $1 used (gamecube version, but still fun), Resistance 1 for $5, and Metroid Prime 3 for $2.50. Also, Deus Ex for free on Steam (gift). I guess it's a combination of being both cheap and lucky. Some of these games I got years after they were released, but I'm always at least 1 year behind on my game purchases. (I'm just now buying Bayonetta and Darksiders, lol) But hey, being a tightwad is awesome! It may also be because I search every store like an OCD person, trying to find the best deal. Pop into your local Gamestop/video store/Walmart once a week just to browse and you'll be amazed what you can find. I recently found a copy of Bioshock (PS3) for $5. No kidding.
