Super Mario Galaxy

Seriously, this is a fine, fine game. The score is great, level design fantastic, and level of innovation beyond what most other 3D platformers have accomplished.

Halo! The entire series is awesome (I know some people don't like it, so don't forum bash my head in), I know for a fact it's not going to win because the Escapist is too cool but...

In terms of a game that I simply love to play with friends this series has to be my favorite of the decade, it made the FPS on consoles popular and the gameplay is so simple and perfect it is untrue.

I weep for the Zelda series, harder and harder the closer Skyward Sword gets. Great merciful creator of Worlds does that look awful...

sorry, it goes against my beliefs as a programmer to acknowledge '01 as the first year of a decade.

I honestly can't imagine anyone sitting there near midnight on December 31 1999 going "hey guys, whats all the fuss about, we still have one more year left to go in this millennium.

That's dumb (what does being a programmer have anything to do with anything, btw?), decades like centuries and millennia start on year 1, it's just fact... Whether we party hard on 1999 or 2000.

Gears of war 2. Really gritty and violent. But at the same time it always felt cartoony and over the top. IT almost felt like watching commando. I loved teh story. and i always want to know so much more about any past and history of almost all the charecters i meet. but teh best reason...a chainsaw attached to a mother fucking machine gun..pure awesome
