Ironically, I have to set Quake 4 as one of the best I've ever heard. The first levels in particular are -amazing.- But what's your favorite?

I disslike the halo soundtrack... its too... well i just do.

However i loved the soundtrack from The Witcher.

I have the soundtracks for Jade Empire and Mass Effect on my iPod - M4 Part II to close M.E. is perfect.
But, I also second the sentiments about Fallout 3. I love listening to the 'Maybe' as I
snipe.

Also....I find it irritating that everytime I watch hockey on TSN, the first few bars of their orchetral lead-in sounds EXACTLY like the opening music for Oblivion. I keep hoping for a Storm Atronach to gate in and wreak havok with the Maple Leafs. *huff*

If you ask me the best game soundtracks are the ones that you only have to hear a section of it,to know what game it is. If you play the game a few times you will know when someone is playing Halo,Zelda,portal,BioShock,are Super Mario Bro's.
