High Power, Fully automatic, and if I take the time to completely finish the challenge that unlocks it I get unlimited ammo too.
I have to refrain myself from dual-wielding these things just so the game even has a hope of challenging me.

On the opposite side, I just wanna say that my least favorite handgun is:
Low Power, small magazine, can barely shoot straight, it's a wonder I ever killed anything with this piece of crap.

Rico's handguns from Just Cause 1 and 2.

They're basically some massive .44 revolvers with an (unuseable in game but stated) M203 UGL

The Pocket Artillery in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.

It's a pistol that fires artillery shells, rapidly.

Or one of the various combi weapons from Warhammer 40K.

PS20 from Deus Ex if it counts.

It was a one shot disposable plasma gun
PS20 when they did start making home consoles so lethal???

My pick would be Maliwan Defiler from Borderlands

I think it was "The Dove" from Borderlands. Infinite ammo, didn't need to reload, pretty good accuracy and damage, and corrosive damage on top of that. I loved the damn thing.

Pre-Patch 1911 in Bad Company 2.

It was 100 percent accurate and killed in 2 shots at any distance, with no fire rate cap.
What the FUCK!? That thing used to be WORSE!? It's still a fucking god gun! It's right up there with the MG3 + Marksman training, the PPSh from Vietnam, period, and the Carl G with plus explosives...

On topic: the Beretta from RE5. Just kidding, that thing couldn't kill any non special with half an entire hundred round mag.

No, what I do vote, is...The Glock 18c from RB6:V2. Especially if you have the Vegas 2 rebalanced mod, which makes it have superior penetration, 17 rounds unmodded, and THIRTY-TWO rounds with +Mags. With a fully automatic setting. In a game where five shots to center mass, and you're dead, no matter what. And it fires very fast. And it is an exception on the lower end of shots to kill...
I always used the Raging Bull in RB6:V1 and 2. I was repelling down a wall in terrorist hunt one time, and saw the last guy on the map with an AK start moving across a doorway and dropped him in one shot. Ah, to have gotten that on tape would have been epic.

I see your Plasma Pistol and raise you the unique laser pistol Pew Pew. It goes "pew-pew" when it fires.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but the basic pistol from the original Red Steel. You can headshot people from across the map and get a one hit kill. Used to have a lot of fun with that in multiplayer.

I agree with the RE4 handcannon. Even just unlocking it was an unreal moment. I dont know what was more frustrating, the castle with leon or the water level with hunk, but damn once I aced those levels and subsequently handcannonned every boss in the game afterwards - priceless!

The laser pistol from the Fallout series. Seriously, it turns people to ash, how is that not awesome?!?!?
Plasma Pistol was better. Glowing Goo >> Ash.

OT: The Pistols (and really, all the guns) from ME1 were pretty awesome. They actually had unlimited ammo, and with reasoning behind such. IF you read through the codex, the concept behind it was cool.
...And then they screwed it up in the sequel. I really hated the "clip-overheating" stupidity. Bye bye, futuristic sci-fi shooter, hello standard reload-bulletcount. I really hope Bioware returns to it's previous galaxy in the third instalment...
