The Telegraph. If it wasn't for that, most modern electronics wouldn't exist. Instead we'd probably be living in a world akin to Damnation. Ugh...the horror.
Te bad level design invisible walls in front of my laptop?

I know it sounds terrible. Ditch the "nnnnooooooooo!". It's stretching the page.
Congratulations!you are the proud owner of the 100th post

The flush toilet. Just think about how convenient it is to be able to go to the bathroom whenever you want without having to go outside or have your house smell like crap.

Speech. Without it most later inventions would probably never been made and humans wouldn't have developped much.
Actually writing is accredited with giving us much better development than speech has. The ability to take in information when spoken to is rather limited and can be subjective whereas an advanced written form is the best way to impart information.

No small irony it's the invention used to express my favorite :D

An electric frankfurter.
On a serious note, electricity. We can do so damn much with it, although we have yet to figure out a way to fry people with it portably.

The pocket or the Internet or the eraser.

The pocket: I used to own a bunch of shorts with no pockets in them, so when I finally bought shorts with pockets, I was amazed at how much easier going to the gym was (kinda stupid, I know, but I was young).

The Internet: Do I really need to explain? The Internet is a marvel.

The eraser: The person who invented the eraser understood the most fundamental part of human nature: we all make mistakes.

I'm gonna have to go with electricity on this one as well.
That, or the wheel. Either or.

I was wondering, what's the best invention ever?

Mine would be (I'm sorry for the lack of link I read it in "Stuff" magazine) the "bug eating lamp", that's right, a lamp that eats bugs for power

Edit: Guns are not nor will ever be a good thing
I want one. That sounds fucking awesome.
I can't find it anywhere D8
I think I've found the site that will be selling it
