um...how about the Monty Python Trilogy? Or the Mission: Impossible Trilogy? But, based on pure quality, The Godfather Trilogy! Timeless!

The ONLY Star Wars trilogy, Jurassic park and the spaghetti western trilogies are good. Clint Eastwood is a god. Back To The Future is also great, the second and third matrix movies where okay, mediocre at best.

*EDIT*

Monty python never made a trilogy, they made 4 movies that had nothing to do with each other.

You might say each one was something completely different! Mwehehehe! :] *AHEM*

To me, personally, Aliens was the winner of Trilogies. Alien was in itself a solid flick. Aliens defined what a GOOD sequel should be. Aliens 3 was a good addition.

I can't agree with people that say Terminator. Not as a trilogy! Heavens no! I mean, unless you go, "The Terminator," "Terminator 2 Judgment Day," and "Terminator 4 Salvation." Then yes. Because Terminator 3 doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned. Does'texist! :p

I would put matrix but the last one let the side down.
I don't know about you, but I absolutely detested the second one.
Dear lord that was bad.

The third had giant robots. That's probably what made it less unbearable.
The second movie was too intelligent for average movie goer. Both sequels were rife with symbolism that went over most of the viewers heads.
I don't know about you, but I consider myself a pretty open minded movie goer, but if there's one thing that annoys me, it's symbolism.
As a somewhat famous pirate and internet writer extraordinaire once said,

"Nobody cares about your bullshit symbolism."

A view which I heartily agree with. Symbolism often comes across as very pretentious and very annoying. It didn't go over my head, it's presence is what annoyed me.

This.

While my fave movie by Leone is Once Upon a Time in the West, these three movies--especially The Good, the Bad and the Ugly are masterpieces.

By your logic, then, Aliens can't count, either.

Unless, of course, yer not counting that POS part 4... :p

Star Wars is definitely the best, as every movie in the trilogy was awesome.

Die Hard was pretty good, but the only great one was the first one, the others slowly got worse.

Not Jurassic Park. Just no.

Terminator was pretty awesome, but you can't beat lightsabers.

Back to the future FTW!
not only were all 3 movies awsome but the 1st is the only movie EVER with a perfect f/1 fluctuation, so it might help keep your attention for longer if you plan on watching them in direct succession.

"Nobody, call's me chicken".

I'm gonna have to go with Indiana Jones, and Lord of the Rings
And of course Star Wars, although I do hate the whole fucking Ewok-thing.

Die Hard is of course jolly good fun, but I dislike the second.

ohhhhhh don't make me pick 1.

probably will have to be between star wars (the original ones) or lord of the rings.
