Back To the Future. There's no book that it does or doesn't follow. Do it, you know you want to.

Hey escapist, Planning a movie marathon.

So what is the best movie trilogy of all time?... if i have missed one, please include in the comments. I will try to put in poll.

Edit: WTF, deleted poll, now i cant put one in... oh well, just say your favourite i suppose

I cant decide between original star wars, Die Hard, Lord of the rings, Jurassic park or Terminator.

I would put matrix but the last one let the side down.
Here is a bunch of series, just for the hell of it, not that you should watch them because they vary in quality, not saying any of these are the best of all time... maybe other than the first 2....

The vengeance trilogy, it is worth it just for old boy :)

Mad Max trilogy

The Saw series (only cause there are so many of them now)

Alien

Bloodspots

No retreat, no surrender

Toxic avenger

Friday the 13th

Nightmare on elm street

Halloween

Texas chainsaw massacre

ok I am going to stop now, as they aren't all trilogies and I wont know when to stop....

Lord of the Rings, followed up closely by Star Wars. I loved the first Matrix film too... But the other two were God awful.

You have awesome timing my friend. I was just thinking "Why does nobody name the Dollars trilogy in these threads?" when I hit your post. Anyways, my vote goes toward ol' Clint as well.

A couple of people have mentioned them, me included. Search through the thread and you'll find at least three different people recommending them. ;)

I might be one of the only person that thinks the 4th was better than the third. I agree, there's hardly any drop in quality, but I still like the fourth a lot.

I'd say 1, 2, 4, 3.
I just thought it was very bland, myself. And as silly as it progressively got, the silliest thing in the originals was jumping onto a plane from a helicopter, which I suppose is perfectly doable with a lot of luck.

But seriously, crashing a car into a helicopter? And living?
It's like Michael from the Office puts it: In the first Die Hard, Willis is just an ordinary guy. He gets his feet cut, he gets beaten up, and all that good stuff.

In Die Hard 4, he is a fucking superman.

There are some good choices there but for me I'd have to say Back To The Future Trilogy!
Yes! I want to have you babies! I demands it!

Back to the future or original Star Wars.

Indiana Jones.
I definitely can't agree to this. Temple of Doom was so terrible that I stopped watching it and never finished the series. Can't be a great trilogy if one of the films is a pile of crap.

I'd have to say the bourne series, although I've never watched them back to back, or the LOTR trilogy.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely detested the second one.
Dear lord that was bad.

The third had giant robots. That's probably what made it less unbearable.
The second movie was too intelligent for average movie goer. Both sequels were rife with symbolism that went over most of the viewers heads.

I would have to say either Bourne, Indiana Jones, or Pirates of the Caribbean. But if I was pressured to pick one, it would have to be Bourne.

No I noticed them, I just meant it's never mentioned in these type of threads in general. His was the first I noticed, but I saw your one too.

If you like gore. Don't say yes unless you really like gore. Then you might be ready for this trilogy. It is not for the intelligent discerning movie goer.
