I've only ever been to New York. I loved it. :D
You are correct sir or madam! Brooklyn is the best part of New York if you want to get specific.

South Dakota. Where the men are men, the women are men, and the sheep are scared.

The Midwest is pretty peaceful and not overtly racist. Lots of wide open spaces.

Don't even visit Jersey- that's my advice.

Best places?
Country side. END OF FUCKING STORY.

But the worst?
Certainly not Terre Haute, IN, but it's not good either.
The term 'railroaded' basically COMES from this fucking town...

I vote Key West. It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Definitely a place to see. St. Augustine is a good place to go for sightseeing. Daytona is okay when there's something going on. Orlando is meh.

I live in Pensacola, Florida. It's nice here. It isn't as jumbled-together as a city, but it still has all of the niceties of one.

What kind of scenery do you like? If you like a small town setting, my home Lawrence, KS is pretty cool. Nice people (beware, pot dealers everywhere). A dirt small town would be the upper-midwest (beware, conservatives everywhere). I think the best place to live would be either New York or Chicago for cities. New York is the largest city in the good ol' US of A and Chicago is just nicer (beware, insert reason here).

You live in Indiana, where that is true. Have you been to western Kansas, or Colorado?

I have friends who live in New York, (specifically Brooklyn) and I go there quite often and I love being there. I used to live in New York as well because my dad worked there for a year when I was about 4.

Even as a American this is hard to determine. I would say to avoid inner-city areas as well as low income areas... The suburbs and country side is where the majority of Americans live and are generally nice places to grow up in. Just keep in mind that the Continental US is a massive place, and just because if you run into a few jerks doesn't mean where all douche-bags...

Us in Connecticut live in the best place in not just America, but the world. And we know it. And fuck you if you disagree. And fuck you if you're from Massachusetts. We had the Whalers. The motherfucking goddamn Whalers.

Also, the Merritt Parkway in the fall is easily one of the most beautiful roads in the entire world. The combination of the trees forming an orange canopy over the road and all the art deco bridges, all of which are unique, makes for something really quite special. And being on the Merritt means you get to ponder one of life's great questions: "where is exit 43?"

I love Colorado. If all goes well and I get the fiance to cooperate I'm heading to Boulder once I graduate.
I've driven through Kansas. The three gas stations I saw on the way through were nice. :)

I'm gonna go with this answer (except the "Best in the world" bit. I disagree vehmently) I lived in Ridgefield, CT for two years and it was an amazing place. Best bagels in the world as well. And yes, the Merritt Parkway is an amazing road...again, not the best, but it's very good.
