Upstate New York is a pretty nice place if you don't mind snow, and as far as cities go on the East Coast the two best to visit are New York and Boston. And should you visit either one of these cities don't say any good things about the other cities sports teams, they hate each other. It's worse than Tottenham and Arsenal.

Haven't been to the US much, nothing too exciting... Just went to florida a couple times... It was winter, and it was still hot as hell and the people there thought it was freezing and were wearing jackets. Basically, Florida is warm... I have no other comment.

Well, I live in Georgia and its pretty nice here, you have beaches, mountains, and a big city all within driving distances between each other, a little bit of everything.

Tampa, FL

We have more stripclubs per capita than anywhere else in the country.
We also have Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital, and All Children's so the medical care kicks.
We have USF which is actually a really nice and not overpriced school.
We have a pro football, baseball, and hockey team.
We have Busch Gardens.

But most importantly, we have the only Yuengling Brewery outside of Pottsville, PA.!!!!
Tampa definetly isn't the best place in the world, St. Pete is even worse. I live between the two. Although, our schools blow.
You are only 18 and you live in Pineapple Park, the second worst place in the metroplex after Larghetto.

=P

Wait until after you turn 21, then things get alot better!

some good arguments so far, im really looking for something scenic, with a large city within driving distance, but the area i'll live in must be fairly quite but a really nice place to chill in, thats the aim for me really, but if you have arguments towards city life in the U.S thats cool too, i'm just sick of town life, its all fights and shit buildings

Forget the USA go to Canada instead, its much better, especially British Columbia. Just beautiful man.

But if you must go to the USA, I'd say san fransisco. I've never been myself but it looks like a really nice place and my dad thought it was a great place when he was there.

I have been to Disneyland, DisneyWorld, New York, and Montana. New York had great food, but was pretty dirty and polluted, which I noticed when I got sick from overeating at all the great New York restaurants. The overeating sort of compounded over a few days, and I missed going to a lot of places. I really enjoyed the culture of the place though, it was just; different. I was also with my parents so we pretty much went to every museum in the place, and it was fairly taxing on my excitement. The aircraft carrier was definitely awesome though, I was not sick when I went to see it. I also went to Montana, which I absolutely loved. The people there are about the nicest in the world, I swear. I DisneyWorld was pretty cool, but when three tornadoes touched down one day, (three in the area at the same time) that was definitely the best day I had there. DisneyWorld was pretty cool, but California adventures is where it was at, plus there's the the universal studios tour or whatever it is there.

Everyone here mentions New York...and they should. Great place to go, no matter where you're from.

Aside from that, Colorado is a perfect state. All of that boring flat brown makes the Rockies all the more beautiful.

Personally, I never liked Los Angeles, but it can be entertaining, although San Francisco is the preferable California alternative.

I'm just gonna get this out here, but I fucking hate Florida. Too hot, too humid, too infused with cocaine and old people trying to escape income taxes. That aside, Key West is great.

Also, if you're visiting the US any time, especially New York or the northeast, check out some of the New England states, especially Boston and most of Connecticut (if you can discount the fact that the entire state is just one giant forest full of the outstandingly wealthy).

Hope that helped. Come by in upstate New York (Ithaca or Rochester) sometime! :D

The north-east section is pretty good as long as you dont head right into the middle of New-York

Also, don't buy into everything about how the U.S is the best country ever. It's not. My vote goes to Canada

Yeah, well New York is how every one views as an uptight business state with nothing but skyscrapers and hotels. in Pa you get to look at mountains, subtle mountains not too big not too small and, we get less severe weather because of those mountains. Also, welcome to the escapist!
