Early, Texas!!!
[sub] not really, theres nothing to do here. [/sub]

Its a good place to live, but really boring.
Oh come now, its only a stone's throw away from Howard Payne and a bowling alley...

ot: If you're going to live Texas, Austin and Denton are pretty much the only viable options

Chicago, mostly because I've only lived around it.
The suburbs aren't bad, but it is really odd to drive a mile down a road and hit farmland, only to go a few hundred yards further to find a mall and 12038123 houses, and then more farmland.

Just drop a pin on a map if you undeceive, then do some research on the place you find. If you don?t like it try again.

But try and pick a place that interests you. I wouldn't recommend trying to get tips from other people who know little about you.

I was in the same boat as you several months ago; I however just went to New York (mainly Manhattan) because the skyscrapers are nothing like what we have in the UK. I had an amazing time, made some friends and went out drinking each night. People were surprising friendly (compared to London). Good times.

Anywhere that's not a large city is boring as fuck, but you're less likeley to be mugged, and people are nicer(but I dislike them). Also, stick to cities if you don't want to be made fun of because of a British accent.
i spent most of my early and late teens fighting, i play rugby alot, i need somewhere peaceful to later go on to lol

New York probably.

I enjoy the cold weather more than heat and its very cultured so it fits me perfectly.

I'm from the UK too and I just toured the USA for 2 months. I loved New Orleans. And San Francisco. Those were my two favourites.

The costal states offer much more to their residents because so many people live there, but they are also the most ass backwards, at least in my opinion. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's a very nice place to be in the summer, but currently, we are in the middle of the winter where it's not uncommon for the tempurature to be -10F (-23C) or colder. Plus, we have lots of snow on the ground. Then again, we are also one of the fittest cities in the nation with lots of bike trails and things to do outside in the summer, and even in the winter if you can stand the cold. Those who are looking for culture, we have the second biggest theatre audience (plays/musicals) behind NYC, and we have a very deep history in the music scene with lots of venues for bands to play.

Everyone is going to tell you something different, because as you clearly pointed out, America is flippin' huge and most of us haven't seen or experienced every city and what it has to offer.

Here [http://www.forbes.com/2009/04/23/most-dangerous-cities-lifestyle-real-estate-dangerous-american-cities_slide_2.html?thisspeed=25000] is a list of the 15 most dangerous cities to live in America. Incidently, where I live is one of the safest cities.

The Midwest is pretty peaceful and not overtly racist. Lots of wide open spaces.
You live in Indiana, where that is true. Have you been to western Kansas, or Colorado?
I love Colorado. If all goes well and I get the fiance to cooperate I'm heading to Boulder once I graduate.
I've driven through Kansas. The three gas stations I saw on the way through were nice. :)
Good enough for me. Hey, did you see an Adult Superstore with a sign that says "Jesus saves, pornography destroys" right next to it on your way through?

Tampa, FL

We have more stripclubs per capita than anywhere else in the country.
We also have Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital, and All Children's so the medical care kicks.
We have USF which is actually a really nice and not overpriced school.
We have a pro football, baseball, and hockey team.
We have Busch Gardens.

But most importantly, we have the only Yuengling Brewery outside of Pottsville, PA.!!!!

Mind if I ask your name? If you live in the Early/Brownwood area, we may at least know of each other. Also, the bowling allys great, if you like breathing in smoke, lol

Tampa definetly isn't the best place in the world, St. Pete is even worse. I live between the two. Although, our schools blow.
