Best PS3 Game Around

Just bought a PS3 and high def TV 4 Christmas, and am curious as to what games to get for it. I have Dirt 2 and the 2nd Resistance game (although they're still going to be wrapped until Friday...), but don't know what else to get for it.

Suggestions and criticisms welcome.

Demon's Souls would be my personal top nomination. There's simply nothing else like it. The second would be Disgaea 3.

Well this, obviously, but if we had to limit it to exclusives...

Either Demons Souls, Uncharted 2, or the new Ratchet and Clank game

With Demons Souls on the top of that pile

I'm tempted to just say Uncharted 2 and knock off for bed, but I'd be forced to burn in the ninth circle of hell if I didn't mention that the last hour of the game is complete shit.

Killzone 2 is pretty up there. inFamous, Ratchet and Clank(any of them), Metal Gear Solid 4, and....

Well, that's about all the half-decent exclusives I can think of.

Uncharted 2 is amazing and I would recommend getting that in a heartbeat. Killzone 2 is my personal favorite and an amazing game but you might want to rent it first in order to try out the controls (and the addicting multiplayer) as not everyone likes it.

woow, i looked at the trailer for warhawk, and it looks abit like a ramped up bf 2142. might get a demo 4 that too.

Warhawk is now on special offer over christmas. Down from £15 to £8!!! Nice!

You might wanna look into Trine and Fat Princess, Both quality fun games. Both on offer for £8 each as well. Get in there

Hmmm, is there a point if he's getting DiRT 2 (made by the same guys if I'm correct)?

I'm disheartened that so little people have said Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. That's the game I really wanna play.

May I ask, does anyone know if you can download the first Soul Calibur for the PS3? I know it's available on Xbox Live.

wait, is orange box on ps3? if so... WOOT!!! (dont think it is tho, because its a valve game and they really only release to xb360)

im a little curious about flower. it looks like a very pretty game and all, but just seems to be the same thing over and over. theres no real challenge because there is no timer or anything, but instead seems more like a specticle game.

by the sound of it, MGS4 will be the game i get in the upcoming day of christmas, but uncharted 2, AC2 and CoD:MW2 i think will be bought in the new year when i have gained what i have lost in christmas money

still going to give the cheaper games a very hard look at, warhawk for $15 AU is fantastic

The Orange Box is on PS3 but it was ported by EA and had nothing to do with Valve.

You should really pick up Uncharted 1 and 2. Amazing games.

Yet another question, but which of these games has good splitscreen play? I'm going to play with my dad a bit, and Dirt 2 has no splitscreen play, and resistance 2 sucks. it gives you random missions and plunks you right into the heat of the battle, when we're trying to work out how to start playing the game.

im looking for a game abit halo-esk. it plays like the storymode, and teaches you how to play all the way through. i manage to grasp the concept resonably quickly, but i end up telling my dad constantly what to do... in halo, it is easy to understand.

ANYONE know any games like this? coz atm im stuck watching my dad race around a course always getting pissed coz he comes 8th without fail...

To answer your question Resident Evil 5 has good split scene play and was made to be played co-op.
