I never got into KoTor and such...

Baldurs Gate, I love hundreds of little sidequests! :)

I quite enjoyed Fallout3 with the "addon content" out till now.

Chrono Trigger. Then the Final Fantasy series.

Pokemon also gets a mention because I like it. It may be a little simple, but it is presented so well.

KotOR 1, Planescape: Torment and to some extent Fallout 3, but it's not quite on par with the two first ones, and I'm not really that much of a FPS fan, even though there was a RPG twist to it.

Baldur's Gate II, especially with mods.
Planescape: Torment, Awesome atmosphere ans story.
The Witcher, For atmosphere as well and the choices.

Honorable mentions for Mass Effect and The Fallout series (though not so much #3, I thought it was meh.) Including Tactics, even though it was more of a rts than rpg.

Well I have only played Fallout 3, so either that, Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance, or Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2.

Oblivion was crap! The combat was predictable and the level up system was broken (like Bethesda's design team).

IMO Goldensun was the best JRPG because it was really subtle and modest; plus had a great storyline.

Fallout 2 takes the cake for WRPG methinks.

Baldurs Gate II hands down, "Buttkicking for goodness"

If I had to choose a second it would have to be Planescape: Torment, it was an original and highly addictive!

Wizardry. It was so damn hardcore, if you died, you'd have to reroll your party and go get the corpses of your last party and pray literally that resurrection worked and didn't consign their souls to the void.

I like The Ur-Quan Masters a lot, the different alien races are incredibly funny and well written.
Trigun, awesome. Best theme song I have ever heard!

Oh, I guess I should answer this question. Final Fantasy 7, gotta be!

Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and pretty much all of the Bioware games.

Eidos Revenant is a great one too; could've been even better without the cutbacks.

There were moments, around the beginnings of Fallout 3 and Mass Effect that I thought they might have the potential... but no, Baldur's Gate 2 remains unbeatable.

It's tough for me. i enjoyed anything with the following phrases in its title: "Baldur's Gate" and "The Elder Scrolls". That being said, my top three would probably be (in no particular order) Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, Baldur's Gate 2, and Oblivion.
