The Chamale, my namesake, from Impossible Creatures. A high-power amphibious ranged creature with lower health and resource cost than most popular Level 5 ranged units. On land, its speed was actually the game's lower limit for any speed. Despite this, I took advantage of their camouflage ability to micro the shit out of them.

One recent battle that stands out in my memory was when I used a radar pulse to realize that some concealed enemy units were standing in the same spot as my camouflaged Chamales - my guys were outnumber 4 to 1. I had them decloak and target their attacks, taking out 5 of the 20 or so enemy units. Then they cloaked and healed without a single casualty.

You really had to kill those things because with 1/663 health left, a Chamale does not stay dead.

God damned Zerglings need a mention. Sure you defense is good, but can it stop an never ending assault of the zerglings? Nothing can stop them. Aside from another endless amount of Zerglings. That would be a fun match.

If the total war games count, the Spartans from Rome. Do not attack them from the front, ever.

Actually, I maxed out a group of German Berserkers, and after putting them into Frenzy mode, they managed to break through the Spartans spears and win.

DOW: Imperial Guard Baneblade. it can take out a demon prince in one hit from the main gun
Ohhhh, I must get that.

Hmmm, when it comes to it I really don't know. There's just so many. One that just came to me though: The Soviet V3 missiles in Command & Conquer two, there's just something fun about the slow inevitability of them.

The ion cannon is pretty good. However one that I always liked was the hunter-seeker from tiberium sun. A flying suicide robot that randomly chooses a target and instant kills? Love it. Another great one from that game was the cyborg commando.

I think Supreme Commander Forged Alliance will win hands down here... (the best RTS to date)

I would have to say the Monkylord.

A stealth unit that will rip your base apart in seconds if it gets in.
The only way to stop it is to see it early, which is a problem when it does not show up on radar and it can hide under water...

Then again, you can't argue with nukes... ...and supreme commander does nukes on an epic scale.

the Teutonic knights from AoE2, I had to stop playing as the Teutons because I was winning too easily with them

so I switched to the Saracens

Mamelukes anyone?

Information. Knowing where your opponent is, knowing he troops strength and position, knowing his weaknesses, etc... Information is the most important tool in any rts. Thats why my favorite weapon is the Comstat sweep.

Simple, and highly effective. Go in cloaked, lockdown your nearest enemy science vessel, land a nuke on their economy, run out, you're done for the day. Glorious!

Oh but I so love the teutons! Them and the Mongols. That's the only way to kill china. By burning it with all of its living things.

I don't believe it has been said yet so I'm going to go with the mighty Krogoth from TA:CC.

Sure some of the updates & third party mods produced some more effective units. But buggar me blind that mission the Krogoth encounter was a severe ***** to beat considering you also HAD to play it on hard.

Supreme Commander 1 Fatboy...
It's a fucking battleship on treads...
With its own shield generator...
And AA turrets...
And Gunship refuling stations...
And it's got its own factory to make more tanks...

Oh wait, I totally forgot the Experimental Artillary! Why? Because it literally takes an hour to build...
But once you get one (forget two, two is an instant game win) it can take out your opponants base, even though it's deep in the bowels of yours...
Did I forget to mention that it has an almost automatic rate of fire?

I can go on and on about other Supreme Commander one and two units, but these seemed to be the most powerful...
You forget the Scathis. Cybran tech 4 rapid fire artillery. THAT is a game winner. Just build enough of a powergrid to keep everything running whilst it munches power and it will kill everything with purple fire.
Although its range got nerfed... I remember on Seton's Clutch, I made at least six before realising that they weren't doing anything, so I wait as they painstakingly make their way towards the middle to get in range of the enemy base... If it wasn't for my ally's Fatboys and Soul Rippers they would have gotton ahnnialated, although I think two died from a Broadsword rush, while the rest took out the enemy commanders...
Heh...Purple fire...

Behold, the fiery destroyer of Worlds!

Avatar of Khaine. The instant you see one of those rumble into battle, depending on who's side it's on it can either be the symbol of victory, or the harbinger of your doom. Regardless, they're always the center of any battle they participate in and cannot be ignored for fear of it wiping out entire armies with a single massive blow.
