Disturbed's cover of Land of Confusion by Genesis
Disturbed's Shout 2000 (cover of another song, I can't properly remember if it was called Shout, also can't remember original artist)
Fear Factory's cover of Cars (can't remember original's artist)

They're my favourites, anyway.

I just wanted to know what the best song covers that you have heard are.

My personal favourites are this cover of "Kids" (MGMT) by The Kooks.

And this cover of "Baby One More Time" (Britney Spears) by August Burns red.

The ABR cover actually wasn't that great IMO, they could have done better. Nonetheless, it was still an awesome cover.

My favorite covers are:

Since U Been Gone - A Day To Remember
Over My Head (Cable Car) - A Day To Remember
Holy Diver - Killswitch Engage
You Give Love A Bad Name - Atreyu

Last week on Scrubs, Sam Lloyd (who plays Ted) did an acoustic cover of Outkast's "Hey Ya" which I rather enjoyed.

Also, Jack Johnson's cover of The White Stripes' "We're Gonna Be Friends" on the Curious George soundtrack was delightful. I really enjoyed that movie.

Nirvana: Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie)
Goldfinger: Just Like Heaven (The Cure)
Perfect Circle: Imagine (John Lennon)

Can't say they're necessarily better than the orginals, but I really like the different interpretations of these in particular.

WORST COVER EVER: Under Pressure by My Chemical Romance and Used
- You can't touch Bowie and Freddie Mercury and this cover is ungodly bad sounding to me.

I enjoy pretty much anything by Me First And The Gimme Gimmmes; I think it helps that they're not trying to sound like the original songs in most cases.
I would also have to agree with anyone who said All Along The Watchtower by Hendrix, Easy and Warpigs by Faith No More, Land Of Confusion and Shout 2000 by Disturbed, and Feeling Good by Muse.
I also enjoy NOFX's version of Go Your Own Way (originally by Fleetwood Mac, I believe) and Goldfinger's version of 99 Red Balloons.
Can't think of any more at the minute...

London Bridge - Bowling for Soup (original by Fergie)

Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm (original by MJ)

Feelin' Good - Muse

Wolves of the Sea - Alestorm (Awesome cover of a piece of eurovision crap)

and of course Over The Hills And Far Away (original by Gary Moore, I think)
that song is awesome live. Especially in their End of an Era DVD. The studio version was meh in comparison.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - "Voodoo Child" (originally by Jimi Hendrix)
Agreed, I have it as my ringtone. Definitely more badass than the original (after all, they picked it for the Black Hawk Down soundtrack for when all the helicopters were moving out).

Death's cover of Painkiller (Judas Priest) is mindblowingly awesome. The Small Hours cover by Metallica is good though the original is admittly better. Megadeth's No More Mr. Nice Guy is supposed to be pretty good.
