I didn't realize they released a new song.

Let me go to Youtube real quick...

Goddamn. If the entire album is up to par with that, I'll have to keep an eye on when it's released.
Oh hell yes, the line before the breakdown gets me every time.

"YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE AND THAT'S ONE TOO MUCH

(guitars stop)

WHAT'S THE WORLD GONNA SAY WHEN I CALL YOUR BLUFF, PUNK?

DUDUN DUDUN DUN DUDUN DUDUN DUN DUDUN DUDUN DUN"

Stuff like that and the "My Life for Hire" breakdown make the live shows worth the ticket price.

For Example I can't stand Hip-hop as a genre but I really like Kanye West's POWER
Funny you mention that song considering it was what got me into Kanye West's music xD. Give the rest of the album a try, seriously. It is a masterpiece.

I dont think kanye is the best rapper but he always seems to have great production

Gorgeous from that album is one of my favorite songs ever

I hate rap, but Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" is good enough to get on my playlist. Not the original song, though. That is still awful.
if you geniunly like white and nerdy then mabye your problem with rap is not the style istlf but subject matter?

I would have thought a rap enthusiast like yourself would know the difference between a rapper and an MC ;). Seriously though, he isn't the best but his rapping is unique and he's a fantastic producer to boot. To those who think lowly of sampling in hip-hop music should listen to a Kanye West song.

I actually don't like Gorgeous yet. It's one of those songs in an album I have to keep listening to over and over again to enjoy. Just out of curiosity, what aspect of it makes it so good for you? Some perspective is nice :3.

(Listening to it now.)

If you hate any genre of music it is because you haven't listened to it enough, there is excellent music in every genre you just have to search for it.
<3 this right here. I'll take my cue from Louis Armstrong (or whoever you want to attribute the quote to), "There's two kinds of music. Good, and bad."

Certain sub-genres I can understand disliking maybe, as they can be absurdly specific in their categorization. For example, I don't honestly expect to ever find an enjoyable crunkcore band.

I'd say the production most definetly, the guitars and backup strings are absolute perfection, combined with Kid cudis chorus works really well.....like my soul is just melting away

also I've listed to it a million times and I still dont really know what the song is about (mabye black people or somthing XD), its all abstract and inoffensive enough that it doesn't distract from the music (I have a certain tolerance for the usual "rap stuff" but it can bring down a song at times), and kanye himself is pretty good..as is Kid Cudi, like I said before

I can't say I "hate" any genre, but I generally dislike most metalcore. Yet this song, man...

Mmm, lovely.

I can't stand wub-wub, but Skrillex's theme for Syndicate is something I can easily listen to for hours.
As well do I hate rap, but I'll listen to B.O.B.'s "New York, New York" and Camu Tao's "Plot for a Little".

Well, I only hate country and christian (or most religious stuff) used to say i hated rap but I like enough of it to not hate it but not enough to like it ya know? Don't think there is a single christian song I could ever like for any reason but for country, I have always loved this one.
If the link is borken sorry still getting used to all the commands and things >.>

Not really sure why just have, don't like the metal cover of it though (again not sure why just don't)
Hate Christian stuff you say?
How about these?
Same band, but a little different style on each song.

OT: I don't really like rap, but I like most of what Tupac has to offer.

and actually I liked, This Ain't a Scene It's an Arms Race too...<.<

Same thing here, don't like hip hop or rap in general, but I like Power.
Also, basically whenever Miracle of Sound does a song of a genre I dislike.

I dunno, I don't really "hate" any genres in particular, I just like some genres more than others and some "eras" more than others. I guess if I had to choose, I would probably choose something death metal or black flavored, since I am not especially fond of those genre, as a whole (with exceptions for modern technical death, melodic death, viking, and first wave of black). Here we are, one from each:

I hate rap music, and even Saints Row didn't get me into any more songs of that genre, but i do like many of Wierd Al's rap parodies such as Amish Paradise, which i feel is a really genius song.

I don't like songs with deep growling vocals which just sound plain unpleasant to my ears. But this song's an exception- at first i listened to it because i liked the instrumentals so much, and then the rest of the song kind of grew on me.

And I can spend all my life looking for a diamond in the sewer, but I am better off going to a diamond mine. Anyway that's an appeal to probability. I might find a hip hop song or something I like some day, but that doesn't mean I will. It also doesn't mean I am ignorant. I do try to like hip hop/rap songs. I just have yet to find on that I like.

While Jazz, Classical/Baroque are generally boring to me (more often than other genres), there are three things in music that really grate on me.

Pop: Whoa, and Oh, and more Whoas and Ohs.

House: Boom, cha! Boom, cha!, Boom cha! Boom cha!

Drum and Bass: Boom boom cha! Boom badoom cha!

I hate thrash metal because in my experience it always layers up too much stuff to actually have a tune.

If I said I hated metal in general, I would be ignoring bands I accept, like AC DC and Iron Maiden, songs I like, such as Psychosocial, and the band I love:

I study music and therefore I like every genre to an extent, but I'm not a great fan of either metal or rap... except Linkin Park. They're alright.

My dislikes are constant and my disgust complete; there are no exceptions in the realm of hatred.

Hell, I can't even keep up with half the "genres" that have popped up over the years. I listen to whatever I like the sound of, although I prefer to avoid the popular; there's some brilliant people out there who deserve our support more.

I have no idea what you call THIS stuff and I'm sure likely not to go looking for more... but I do like me a little Mayhem now and again:

Not a big fan of country music, but I still have a few favorites... so I'll just go with the obvious choice:

(Yes, I know this is a remake of another song, I just think Johnny Cash did it better is all..)
