That has to be the Wii for Christmas. I wanted to buy it but didn't have money and it sold out and stayed that way. Well, my brother opened a bag on Christmas morning and guess what it had in it? A Wii controller. Guess what the box next to it had? =D

I still remember the day that I came home from a friend's house and found that my parents surprised me with a Super GameBoy and a copy of Pokemon Red.

And just last Christmas they surprised me with Epic Mickey.

The majority of my original Playstation era games were surprise games, as I wasn't big into gaming back then. However, there is one that still sticks out: Final Fantasy VIII, currently number two on my favorite games ever list.

Years later, my mom and stepdad did it again with Resident Evil 4, a game I had never shown any interest in, was sure I'd not like...and now sits firmly at three on my favorite games ever list, right behind FFVIII.

Then earlier last Christmas, I got Resident Evil 5. Not one of my top favorites, but still very fun.

I remember one birthday when my parents got me Pokemon Gold and Silver. Being the days before I was online, I wasn't even aware that they existed and that there were new Pokemon. Best surprise ever.

I don't think that I've ever gotten a good game/console as a surprise present. Actually the only game I can remember ever getting without asking was Handball Simulator - European Tournament 2010, which I deleted from my hard drive after 5 minutes of playtime. I guess it's because my parents think that I already spend too much time on the computer so they don't want to give me any more reasons to keep on staring at the screen.

I remember, I had a REALLY fun Christmas surprise once. Or, rather, it WOULD have been a surprise if my mom didn't fail hard at hiding games.

One day, she came home from Walmart, and asked me to go to the car and get the stuff out of the trunk. I did so, and as I did, I noticed a game, by itself, in one of the bags: Final Fantasy X for the PS2. I didn't own a PS2.

So, very calmly, I walked in the house, with the game behind my back. I walked up to my mom, and asked her, "What's this?", holding the game in front of me. She stared at it for a few seconds, before saying, "************!". I was SUCH a little troll ;).

So, as expected, I got a PS2 for Christmas, with Final Fantasy X, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Epic times were had.

Ahh i remember my first Game system. Was the Nintendo Entertainment System. I Remember that Xmas well. I was young, the Cold War was still going on, and I had just gotten the best Christmas present ever. After i opened it i naturally wanted to plug it in right away. So my dad of course plugs it in and... precedes to play it with my uncle. Was Super Mario Bros. I didn't get to play it much that day since they kept passing the controller back between them all day/night.

He did this again when I got a Gameboy for Christmas years later. I got Tetris and Zelda in that one. And He preceded to play Tetris on it all day... Never let him touch it again after that though lol. Thinking back on it. I miss that Old brick of a handheld. It used to take a beating. I mean i dropped the thing like 50 times and it still chugged along. Yeah It would go to a black screen once and awhile, but a good smack to the side of it cleared the picture up.

This was actually this year, as opposed to most people happening while they were younger.

I had been talking about Shift 2 after getting the first one. I wasn't planning on getting it though until they released a demo for it because I wasn't sure if it would be worth it.

The day it comes out, my mom comes home from work and hands me a GameStop bag with Shift 2: Unleashed Limited Edition inside. She bought if for me because I had had a really good presentation at school a few days earlier. It's a really good game too, so I'm happy!

EDIT: Another I remember was getting the limited edition GameBoy Color with Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, as well as a case, a link cable, and a light. I was as happy as could be.

I was feeling quite upset and my Mom randomly bought me a 360 Elite with Halo 3 and a year of Xbox Live Gold. It...cheered me up.

And I never would have played Assassin's Creed if not for that 360.

2006 was AWESOME.
This. A million times this. This this this this this.

Bully is, without a doubt, the most amazing action game I have ever had the pleasure in playing.
