Yes you do, especially when other shows actually lasted more than one season. I know that it technically wasn't Joss's fault, but I still hold no sympathy for him.Hoppetussa said:Firefly. Need I say more?
78-82...wee bit out.outcast_within said:taxi, I don't know if it was released this decade. It might have been a nineties show. Damn that Latka, he cracks me up.
May I ask why on the former?flaming_squirrel said:Anything except Doctor Who and Family guy as I hate them both equally.
Did we watch the same show?-Seraph- said:Battlestar Galactica hands down. The acting and casting was superb and the actors really showed how much they loved the show and their roles. The theatrics and design was mind blowingly awesome, with great CGI and camerawork. The story, while had a few bumpy points, was brilliantly told with deep characters and themes. It not only was a story about survival, but about humanity, family, religion, faith, and an amalgam of so many other themes that made it more than your typical sci fi.
The story also had a set beginning and end, it didn't drag on and knew just when it was time to close the curtains which is a very admirable effort in my books. Too many shows are either cut too short and don't know when to end, and BSG paced itself pretty well and knew just when it was time to wrap things up.
Show of the fucking decade for sure, it just did so many things right. As for runner up, and a show that started in the mid 90's and continued on the prosper in this decade, definitely goes to good old SG-1. 10 years of non stop episodes and maintaining a rather consistent quality with endearing characters and some unique stories and settings. I love you SG-1, I'm a die hard fan, but BSG definitely takes the decade, you still dominate your own era though.
Why, of course you may!The_root_of_all_evil said:May I ask why on the former?
Ah, the terrible plague of RTD writing. Yes, that has been a low point, but I do have to stick up for Catherine Tate, as I think she was underappreciated. (And this is from someone who loathes that comedy show she does)flaming_squirrel said:1) Terrible acting (David Tennant for example, he's irritating)

3) Why is everything on Earth?
4) WHAT THE FUCK IS CATHERINE TATE DOING HERE?
5) In the entire universe and all of time, why are we on modern day Earth again?
6) The cheesiness, whilst I understand this is a fundamental part of Dr Who, it wears thin.
7) Oh look, it's 20XX Earth again.
8) Billie Piper.

No matter, Steven Moffat is taking over and I think we'll see a return to some proper Who episodes rather than the cobbled together, LCD pleasers we've had of late.
Do I take it you liked Marfa though?
But she was so gutwrenchingly annoying! It's like everything wrong with Britain was mashed into one actor and for some inexplicable reason people find her funny (Tate).The_root_of_all_evil said:Ah, the terrible plague of RTD writing.
