The only one of those games thats actually being developed by Bethesda is Skyrim. Bethesda's parent company Zenimax owns Id software now, which was making RAGE before it was bought out. Brink is being made by Splash Damage. Prey 2 is being made by Human Head Studios. The engine for Brink and Prey 2 game is supposedly using the idTech Engine, owned by Zenimax. Hunted: The Demon's Forge is being done by inXile Entertainment.eddyrhys said:I've always thought that Bethesda was one of those good yet lazy developers that bring out a game once a year, but that thought was extinquished when I saw 5 good looking titles by Bethesda out this year.
Prey 2, RAGE, Skyrim, Brink & Hunted:The Demon's Forge.
I love Bethesda, and I'm happy to see that they're bringing out more games that look good, I've already ordered Brink and I'm definetly buying Skyrim, I've also had a look a Hunted and liked it.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on these games, you getting them or not. So on so forth.

I am happy to learn that, because I'm a whore and will be playing Skyrim. Just like, as you may have noticed, I played a lot of FO3 and Oblivion, despite my bitching about it.Farson89 said:You'll be happy to know that's one of the thing Bethesda is addressing with Skyrim, your actions will actually affect the world around you and people will acknowledge them.bojac6 said:snip

i'm gonna bet u liked cod, and if so, hypocrit.Metalhandkerchief said:Well I don't enjoy short, linear, teenager targeted games, so this is pretty much my opinion of their entire catalogue the last 5 years.MercurySteam said:Motherf-, can't people stop putting down Bioware for one goddamn day? I think you entirely missed my point.ten.to.ten said:Jesus, Oblivion is buggy enough as it is already! yeah treyach is now activisions *****, so quality is now completely tossed for reskinning an engine and minute (mi-nute, not minute as in time) story changes which make it still go "LOL WUT STORY?" for really shitty gameplay that hasen't changed since 2006.Vern5 said:008Zulu said:When Bethesda make a game with a stable game engine, then and only then will you have the right to ***** about everyone else.Metalhandkerchief said:And to everyone else: Bethesda Softworks (the developer) typically spends 5-6 years on each game. IDK, I've been hearing that Skyrim isn't going to be quite as expansive as their last two games. Hopefully it's because they spent most their time perfecting their new engine. The last one was a mess.Metalhandkerchief said:And to everyone else: Bethesda Softworks (the developer) typically spends 5-6 years on each game. I think that Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas' game engines would disagree. System lockups and RCTDs are the order of the day.Vern5 said:They have. Bethesda must have an odd sense of humour.Clive Howlitzer said:I thought dodging the bugs and crashes was part of the fun.
I think that if they are only producing every 4-5 years, then they should be able to iron out the bugs causing the crashing. As it is, it speaks to poor programming and production on their behalf.SirBryghtside said:Agreed [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/90637-Get-Gouged-For-Horse-Armor-Again]008Zulu said:Bethesda must have an odd sense of humour.Clive Howlitzer said:I thought dodging the bugs and crashes was part of the fun.
Wow, so much Bethesda hate in this thread. What's so bad about them producing games once every 4-5 years? If you like them, be a little patient. And If you don't like them, play something else...

Correction: ZeniMax owns Splash Damage and id (and Bethesda Games Studio). ZeniMax just uses the Bethesda name as their trade name, so to speak.Metalhandkerchief said:However, Bethesda owns Splash Damage and id.
I'd imagine the fact that it's been released for free is largely the reason for that.ImprovizoR said:Hell, people still play Daggerfall!
