I seem to be coming across a recurring theme in Zombie films.
Everyone dies

It has happened in a couple of Zombie films recently and it just makes the whole thing a bit pointless in my opinion.

The Mist

Spolier (durh)

The dude kills his son and the other people in the car with him. Then he runs out of the car screaming for the monstors to come kill him. 2 seconds later, the army rolls in to save the day, making his mercy killing pointless.

The book was open ended! Why not the movie?!
Oh my God, the ending made me want to cry. Cry as in feeling sorry for them, and also as in the way you want to cry after watching an incredibly shitty ending to a movie.

I said it before and I'll say it again! End of Evangellion!
It was bullshit why? I mean, it's vague and a little complicated. But there's no deus ex machina or plot hax. There's nothing inherent in the plot that should make one go "Oh come on!.
1. EVERYONE is dead ('cept two people but they won't be around very long either), anything that ends like that is bullshit to me.

2. I understand that he was pissed at Asuka, but considering that they were the ONLY two people on the planet, I would figure that there is something that he could think to do that was more productive than kill her.

3. Why is everything dead/gone, I thought that the whole instrumentality thing was meant to work on humans specifically.

Amendment : I know that they aren't really dead, but from where I stand they are effectively dead as they now exsist as some sort of collective being, but my point is that humanity is dead. That is what I hate.

Explanation: As I feel I have already made clear, I hate any ending in which there is NO hope for humanity; and I hate it even more when the characters (the "good" ones I mean) themselves go out of their way to make this the case. For Christ's sake, even Watchmen ended in a way in which humanity was able to pull through. Sure a good many died, but in the end it was a win for humanity. So what I am getting at is that anything that is anti-humans is automatically bullshit to me.
Yeah, I can understand that. Though I will say that the intended symbolism Isn't that humanity dies out. But rather shinji and asuka become the new adam and eve. Humanity doesn't lose so much as it reboots. In fact there's implications that it's a cycle. The new movies coming out are speculated to actually happen after the 3rd impact.

LOL. That cringe worthy quote sounds like it was stolen from an episode of CSI. *takes glasses off*
Jesus... don't get me started on CSI. Love the show, hate the cheesie dialog.
only CSI Miami sucks, CSI NY is pretty good in my opinion... but I digress.

The butterfly effect... there were two endings and I mean the one were he strangels himself in his mothers womb.

Hitman, that all I have to say
I cant remember the ending, but i really enjoyed that film - Can you re-jog my memory?
Ok

SPOILERS...I think...

The ending to Hitman is so cryptic if I get written up for spoiling the ending...well you get the idea.

He doesnt get caught but about a dozen stabs in the back people from his own agency try to kill him and he ends up assassinating the same guy like 5 times because he had body doubles or something.

I DONT UNDERSTAND IT, the reason why i called it bullshit is because NO one in my group of movie aficionado friends understood a damn thing that went on.
Ok:

I understood that, That body doubles were used to make sure that the real leader wasnt killed...And ive remembered the bullshit swat van ending, like a prisoner would be able to escape all those police?

Overall i Really enjoyed the film.

Guess its just personal film tastes?
yea I know what body doubles are for but they still didn't tie in because he was not supposed to assassinate that guy anyway, the body doubles just added 25 minutes to the film

I liked it... acting was bad, but still liked it... had free passes to see it a week early in theaters... The ending kinda made me laugh...

Although, I beleive that the ending to 1408 was quite good. After seeing the movie I went to a bookshop to buy "Everything's Eventual" but couldn't find it. Is the ending in the film the same as the book?
The book is fuckin stupid... Here is a summary of the entire short story:

He gets the letter about the hotel, goes there and talks to the owner (almost word for word with the movie), then goes to the room. Only like 7 pages left when he goes into the room... If I remember correctly, he looks at a menu that has all this messed up food and every time he blinks it changes and the language changes, then something makes him grab some match or something and light himself on fire, then he goes running out of the room. That is about it... maybe something else that was small happened too, but that is the main stuff... been a year since I read it...

What, you didn't like the ending of Quarantine? I threw my hands up and cheered. XD

Seriously, noisy ***** was completely useless by the last hour of the movie. I can't understand how her camera-man didn't slap her at some point.

"...i have no idea, but let's make sure it never happens again."

"agreed."

that was the greatest possible ending to that movie! i mean, you have to be insane to not love that!
Man, that head CIA guy was the best part of the movie for me. But wasn't the line

"Well, what we did learn?"

"Not to do it again, sir?"

"Whatever the hell `it` is."

ooooh worst ending ever i dont wanna touch on so many of the others mentioned but they all are terrible endings

I'd have to say that i am to lazy to use a spoiler tag so ill just spoil a really old movie

Man the ending of Kong was soo bullshit, typical of mankind to fail to see who the real monster is.

All he wanted was freaky sex with that blond, i don't blame him either (smokin' hot)

but yah kong dies if you didnt get a chance to see it yet

"It's evil don't touch it!"

I actually thought it was hilariously funny, the way Sean Connery just winks and drives off as the kids stands there, completely confused.

The ending to Twilight

20 minutes of bad acting, bad make-up and stupid hair and the chick discovers that Edward is a vampire and then he sparkles.

That was the ending. Yes it was. Yes it was yes it was yes it was.
