You summed up my thought about GTA4 exactly, you only missed the part were missions consist of 3 categories. Kill someone, chase someone then kill him, or steal something.Jumplion said:I was massively disapointed with GTA4. It recieved so much praise, 10/10/10/10 everywhere, going around screaming "GAME OF THE YEAR GAME OF THE YEAR!"
Initially, yeah, it was aliright. But soon after I was insanely bored and never got around to finishing the game. It took way to long for the game to get going and the game was so realistic compared to it's predecessors, with the car physics really annoying to handle and Nico either flying 50 feet out of the car at 5mph (though that was hilarious) or stumbling aroud like he's drunk when he was slightly hit by a car, that it was just boring after a while. The weapons were dull, no fun weapons like the dildo or katana, all of them were just upgrades of another one and that's it. There weren't any fun cheats to use, hell there wasn't even an "invincible" cheat or "no wanted level ever" cheat.
On top of that, the story that everyone was saying "It's up to 'The Godfather' level in storytelling!", I stopped giving a crap about it relatively quickly. Nico was a friggin' schizophrenic psyco, one minute agreeing to be the hitman of a mob boss and the next yelling at his gay friend (I forgot his name) that he's trying to be incognito, when he was asked if he wanted to go boating.
Overall, I was hugely disapointed with the game. And the huge-ass install for the Ps3 version didn't help either.
Not to mention the annoying friend system. NO, I don't want to go to the frickin' Burgershot.
Also, a contestant, Alpha Protocol, looked good in the beginning but soon realised after release that it wasn't even worth 30$.
