The Killer is the one you "least" suspect. The only mystery film that made me feel that way was identity.

the band of hero/misfits

1. the main hero/leader
2. the hot chick/tomboy thats still pretty hot
3. the sidekick/bestfriend. mostly for comic relief
4. the big guy. is either really angry all the time, german, really quiet except for when he says one word which is perhaps the most funny line in the entire movie(ex: Zangief: quick! change the channel)
5. the tech geek/nerd/hacker
6. the snotty spoiled chick whose trying to change for the better. usually ends up with the sidekick
7. the former badguy usually shows up in a sequel

adeventure movies usually have this combination of characters to some extent

I have to go with Steven Seagal. And then Hollywood ran out of names for underground fight club movies. You know cause Fight Club was already named. Hey I know, we shall call the movie about Fighting.... Just simply "Fighting" .. Success!

And the whole horror movie thing when there's always the valley girl who's a blonde who can't defend herself. I'd love to see that changed.

Not to mention the whole "Strange noise.. Let's see what it is.. OH NO ITS THE BAD GUY!" *stares and waits for him to move closer. Once he's 8ft away, then they run*

Running, jumping, diving, driving away from an explosion. The white guy and the black guy being partnered together and experiencing culture shock either from musical tastes, food, language, or what have you, as if they've never met another white or black person in their life.

Here's one of my favorites, from like every other sci-fi/fantasy/etc. movie to date: the Ancient Prophecy that explains the whole plot. There *always* has to be an Ancient Prophecy. Nothing can ever just happen because it happens.

Credit sequences. I mean come on... words scrolling down? Think of something new.

Everything nowadays being dark and brooding. Sure it's awesome the first few years, but now it's downright retarded. But now we can't go back to anything lighter, because it winds up being labelled gay..

In horror movies, they always go upstairs, or corner themselves stupidly.

Squeezing a cheesy love scene into every film.
Nevermind. I don't think I have ever watched something that didn't have one character checking out another character.
So, this, a thousand times.

Jumping at the boom of an explosion... and making it

Honestly, would it be easier just to keep running?!?!

I managed to sneak in first with that little comment, I was lucky because if I didn't say it 10,000 other people would have.

Yeah. Once you get passed the first page, it's usually nothing more but people either awaringly or unawaringly repeating eachother.

Comedies about two friends, where they always get angry at each other and split up in the middle, only to become friends again later.

And another thread succumbs to people not being bothered to read the whole thing. It's a little sad when that happens.

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't bother to read everything either. It ends up being a broken record. Doesn't help when the thread that seems somewhat interesting is absurdly long either, in some cases.
And then, by the time I'm finished, I'm turned-off from wanting to post because I just wasted a millennia.

It depends for me.

Depends on the thread. We haven't had one for a while, but any thread where fanboys go at it is well worth reading the whole thing because their arguments are usually so flawed its funny. The religious threads probably aren't, because theres an unusually large amount of ignorance found in those. It all depends really. You would never read all 80 pages of the Holiday Council for example...

Actually, most tend to scroll up, though at the beginning of THX 1138 and the ending of Run Lola Run, their respective opening and closing credits scroll down instead of up.

Personally, I always like it when the credits are 'practical', as in part of the actual scene (like the spine of a book on a shelf will list the director's credit or something like that); it's not done nearly enough.
