Biggest plothole in gaming?

Prototype

The game starts making development on a character named Pariah, who is supposedly a child born from the infection however the game ends and I'm left wondering what was the point of bringing that character up in the first place?

Another major part is when Alex's sister Dana gets kidnapped, but she's pretty soon forgotten and Alex just moves on with his revenge.

These plotholes better be answered in Prototype 2, because this seriosuly felt like the creators had a deadline to meet and they couldn't finish the original story or something.

One thing that stayed the same in the Fallout universe was the music and culture of 1940/50's America. What makes it different to our universe is that music pretty much stayed the same and things like heavy metal, rap, techno and all those other genres never came to be.

No, don't. It's okay, it was the 80's, nothing made sense then, lie down before you hurt yourself. There are just some things the human mind isn't meant to know and understand.

OT: The end to Assassin's Creed 2, how did the Templars know where they were and why didn't they follow them when they fled the safe house?

Nope, I was gonna point that out myself, and I'm still a little confused about all that.

Killzone 3 had some serious plot gaps--that stupid snow tank--but not so much plot holes.
Except that's not a plot hole or gap or whatever you want to call it. It's just you not paying attention and blaming the game for your oversights. There are MULTIPLE "stupid snow tanks" in the last area of gameplay before the section where you're driving the tank.

Look, right there. You can spot one of the multiple tanks in that section within the very first second or two of the video. It's next to the building he's firing into, towards the left side of the screen. The camera angle changes so you can't see that tank on the left anymore, but there's one in background in the top right corner of the screen. Then around 33 seconds, when he drops off that ledge. Two more tanks can clearly be seen in the background. He checks the building and then comes out along side, and there's that first tank we saw at the very start of the video up close and personal. I'm not even going to watch beyond that because I think I've already made my point. I haven't even gotten 1 minute into this video and I've already spotted 4 different "stupid snow tanks".

The thing that baffles me more though is that you're probably the billionth person I've heard complain about where they got the tank from. I'm starting to think I'm the only person who played Killzone 3 and actually paid attention to the scenery.

Brown acid.

You know; stars, being 'invincible', all those darned colors, whatever the heck a 'bowser' is, and seriously - the mushroom named "Toad" was a dead giveaway. There was supposed to be a level that looked like a hand when you zoomed all the way out, but the playtesters just sat staring at it for hours.

OT: Bioshock. Not the part that you think. They don't let the player know that you spoilered yourself on the airplane. Fair enough - but when you add that to the fact that you went on to kill 99% of the population of Rapture and hacked all the machines, its pretty clear that you were a homicidal maniac all along. So why even bother to pick up that radio in the first place? First Person Shooter = they're all gonna die. Even after you allegedly come to your senses, you *still* go on to kill 99% of everyone that you meet. So the world's biggest plot hole in gaming is Bioshock pretending that it makes ANY SENSE AT ALL to have a system with moral choices, where you choose not to kill certain people. What, the little sister reminded you of your pet dog? The pet dog that you killed?

The player character doesn't talk because he'd just giggle, and babble in a monosyllabic drone about how cool the bees are.

Come to think of it, that would be pretty fricken awesome.

Edit: Yeah, its possible to let Sander Cohen live - and that actually makes sense, in a father-figure/role-model-for-a-homicidal-maniac way. But a minor plot hole is that the loot that you get from him is totally BS. He liked watching you work, and the exploding pianist was pretty impressive. Cohen should have given you a really cool weapon, or a plasmid that made your victims dance like ballerinas. Anything besides a 2nd-rate tonic that you'll barely use.

[OK, there's the crossbow, but they should have made the presentation a bigger deal.]

Also, Modern Warfare 2:

So, the Russians find an undercover C.I.A. agent at the scene of a mass murder and instead of calling the US to get the story straight, they just invade the states? And how did nobody from the US not see an entire army advancing onto US soil until they were literally on the front steps of the White House?
Man1: "Gee...Sure is cloudy today..."
Man2: "Yeah...It is..."
Man1: "You know...Those clouds look almost like...uh...whata 'ya you call it?"
Man2: "Ducks?"
Man1: "No those flying things...uh..."
Man2: "Um...Planes?"
Man1: "Yeah thats it!"
Man2: "Maybe we should tell someone!"
Man1: "But I just got comfy!"
Not that I'm saying I think modern warfare 2 has a water tight plot but there is the whole mission with the module thing that the Russians recovered that allowed them to compromise the early warning systems.

What of the Kings school of impersonation then?

Elvis was popular in the 1950's, was he not?

Elvis Pressley was in 4 movies in the 1950's. (Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, Loving You, and King Creole.) G.I. Blues, which is a named quest in New Vegas, came out in mid-1960. Most of the Kings outfits are based on Elvis Pressley movie attires, as well.

Megaman/Rockman. Why does he toss out all the weapons from the robot masters between games? Or why not kill Wily after the first escape and devastation wrought upon the world in the second game?

In Heavy Rain they never explain the main character blacking out and waking up with origami in his hand. I mean, they set all this stuff up, all these psychological problems and signs pointing at him, then never explain it.

Its a good game, but if it was a film it would be the work of a hack.

Kingdom hearts 2 (As silly as this sounds)

The whole first game is about how the big dark things are bad and how Sora is the chosen of this keyblade, and cause of that he's awesome and the only one who can stop it...

KH2 rolls around: Lets see...who doesn't have a keyblade in this game? (not counting world-centric characters) um...uh...Donald and Goofy, thats about it. What really got me was how Riku somehow managed to get ANOTHER one even though Sora DESTROYED ONE HE HAD in the first game.

Lol its so silly, but if you're going to go through the trouble of writing a plot, at least make it click with what was being said in the first game, there were a bunch of other things there too...those holes organization XIII used? those are actually giant plot holes.
In the ending of the first game,
Mickey has his own keyblade, so the existance of multiple blades is set up in the first game. Also, Riku's keyblade in KH2 is a true keyblade, unlike the one he wielded in the first game.
The extra FMV about the War of the Keyblads is pretty conclusive in showing there are MANY of them.

Dawn of War 2 - the Techmarine Martellus

In Chaos Rising, Martellus goes traitor, screaming unintelligable bullshit about how Chaos is awesome, and your squads of dudes curb stomp his ass. In Retribution, he's alive and hanging out with the Captain of the honor guard all buddy-buddy and being a good little soldier in service to the Emperor.

Did this bother the shit out of anyone else? It's never explained, and frankly I quit taking him along on missions because I know he's a dirtbag traitorous son of a *****, even if THQ doesn't.

EDIT: My theory is that Stephen Blum wanted to keep doing voices for 3 main characters, so they rewrote the entirely storyline so as not to make him cry.
the canon ending for chaos rising is that avitus was the traitor and that the force commander and thaddeus were ban hammered to the eye of terror.
