Main character gets dies in the end.
That's a nice use of spelling, capitalisation, grammar and
-tags. All in all a very good post.

(Note that the quoted post has been fixed, in order for me not to contribute to the idiocy. If you, the reader, has already seen The Departed; Then please click the above username to go to the post, for a quickl laugh.)
I actually barked laughing reading that.

The Golden Sun series on GBA:

OMG, Alex was after the Golden Sun all this time!!

Though I think anyone playing the games could have guessed it, personally.

And of course, The Others' ending surprised me in a nice way.

If I may be so ambitious as to offer up a twist from yet another medium: Graphic Novel

Watchmen

Not only was Adrien behind everything, but he also planned to fuck everything to high hell!

Blew my mind the first time I read it. The plot twisted and kept twisting until there was nothing left to twist.
For me, the real Mindblower came with

I did it thirty-five minutes ago.

Not only a cold way of saying "Yup, no happy end this time", but also a nice stab at comic book cliches (the villian who describes his plan to his enemy who will prevent it's success shortly after)

Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2, their plots start off simple then get so incredibly complex and elaborate.

In both games, almost everything that happens was planned from the start.

Idiocracy
The time machine is an amusement park ride
That one was quite funny actually. It goes with one of my main rules of life
Never reason with idiots or expect them to be serious.

Especially when they nominate you as the 'smartest person on the planet' cause you know that plants need water not Gatorade. Like that was also a good twist on it, the reason why their crops don't harvest is cause they replaced all the water on the earth with sports drinks.

That stunt in one of the James Bond films where the car does a 360 twist in mid-air before landing the right way up again. That was a big twist.

Fight Club.

A Beautiful Mind.

Vanilla Sky.

Donnie Darko.

Those are some of the most psychologically tripping movies i have seen, and i think a lot of you know why.

The end of Gran Torino.

Clint Eastwood gets killed by the mobsters, which gets them arrested allowing his Asian friends to live in peace.
i wouldn;t say that it was a Twist, per say i would say it was more of
the Assumptions from the people watching it from past movies, by Clint assumed it would have been a bloody rambo enduced bloodbath, rather then the slightly more beleivable of "he let himself die"
