This game is a horror game and parts of it are a bit tense. If that's not your thing. Then its also the only reason I know not to play it. Oh, that and owning a crappy graphics card.

Yes, Bioshock is a fantastic game and well worth buying. Sure, if you strip the gameplay right down all you're doing is killing stuff, but since that applies to almost every game ever that argument doesn't wash with me.
It's a genuinely disturbing (in a good way) experience, solidly designed, with stunning graphics and a delightful trashed 50s aesthetic. Not only that, but the story will keep you hooked and is far more than just a tool to direct you to a new killin' zone. Bioshock is one of those games that is far more than the sum of its' parts, and its bloody good fun for it.
