Well this IS EA we are talking about.
Plus this. EA eat fucking babies they really do.
You know that if you said that on a EA forum they would ban you and lock your house and suck all the oxygen out of your room. Like that other unfortunate sap that make a similar comment on their forums.

OT: I dunno, I thought the game was decent. Nothing revolutionary, but I like how they did try to take a step in a different direction. You got to give them that though, not to many EA games are breaking formulas and tried and true cookie cutter game types *cough* Call of Duty *cough*.

I'm going to have to agree with the people saying this isn't a big deal. It's only one employee, and while I do agree that there's something odd about these amazing critic review scores that are being given out, I still say this isn't really very important.

I totally was thinking that right as I said it. I was preparing to go "do it! DO IT COME ON KEEL MEE!" When EA kicked my door down.

And yeah, I just finished my first playthrough, took 53 damn hours. it was a pretty fun game, had alot of interesting quests and conversations, fun combat. All in all it was a pretty cool game.

Im planning atleast two more playthroughs for the other two classes before I even consider being done with it, and that's not counting potential DLC.

Frankly if any game felt worth the money I spent on it I'm inclined to be nice to it.

Edit: Best comment ever btw :p. I'm already feeling short of breath, if I don't make it, tell my wife, hello.

ok, BioWare and EA really need to cut the shit if they want to keep at least SOME of their fans.

havent they ever heard of bad PR?
What?s with all the EA and Bioware bashing ? From the looks of it was just one employ acting on his own, there's no proof that he was order to do this.
EA in general has been showing their ass for the past couple of years, and BioWare has started to recently. the employee screwing up is just the cherry on top.

I'm a tad confused, I reread the article (and it's source) a couple times just to make sure I didn't miss anything blatantly obvious. But one guy who works at bioware, and is probably just angry about all the stupidity going on with DA2, decides to write his own counter review to the trolls and now suddenly it's this huge Bioware/EA conspiracy to dupe people into buying the game?

Was it stupid of him? Yes. Should he have done it? No. But I must be missing the connection point where big brother attempted to dupe us all into making uninformed choices.
Really who would vote up such a phony review? If it wasnt at the top I might dismiss it as 'one guy'.

You ever get your hands on this game called Fallout 3 or New Vegas? I can honestly say I have spent well over 500+ hours on each game creating "perfect" characters that 100% everything.

They have the black helicopters, they send in paralawyers who tell you that anything you write on a EA forum belongs to EA, they then delete it and threaten to sue you for copywrite infringement if you express simular feelings anywhere else on the internet.

(quickly someone call a lawyer I think this might work)

Well with such a massive concerted effort to make the game look bad I can forgive one employee trying to make it look good. I mean... work so hard on something to have the kind of seething hatred I've been seeing it get from RPG purists and PC elitists.

There are some legitimate criticisms on the game like there would be for any game, but from playing through the demo on XBL I thought it was quite good.

I never got around to playing either, despite being a big RPG buff. For whatever reason I never took to them.

I have however logged almost 600 hours on a 20 dollar PSP game xD..Its sequel comes out in like 6 days, 27 bucks for another 600 hours. Booyah.

What game would this be? I don't think my amount of time spent playing Pokemon as a kid could even scratch the surface of that.

How? Even with the DLC I was only have to get most things up to the 80s with a few 100s and 90+. Looking back if I really dug into it and figured out how many there were of each book and maxed all perks right, and really figured it out. but can you really max out a charactor in New Vegas?

I'm going to have to go with the 'so what' crowd. One developer out there is proud of his work and felt the need to defend it. So what? It wasn't bribery or anything, just a lone user-review on metacritic. It means nothing.

It is sad that nowdays the most trustworthy reviews are the ones made by amatures on websites who either have a second job or get by solely with the money they get from ads.

I wouldn't say they're the only ones, but this does put the first signs of blemish on my vision of Bioware. They are no longer pristine in my eyes.

Who's left?.....

nothing but a barren wasteland....

sorrow.
You could just continue to enjoy their games despite Biowares faults. No developer is perfect after all.
The problem is everyone viewed Bioware as incapable of failure. Remember the better something is the more glaring it's flaws.

I spent time on using the "Trail and Error" system on half a dozen characters to figure out what I wanted to be "right" and "wrong". To answer your question about maxing out a characters skills and SPECIAL, no you can't but you can get all but four Skills maxed out. Its better that way. I remember just wasting hours of hours just walking across the Wasteland, using the Sniper Rifle from Operation Anchorage and killing anything in my way with one hit kills and getting all of my Action Points back instantly. Far to overpowered but in New Vegas your character is still pretty strong if you purchase enough 45-75 Gov'm rounds and a modded Brush Rifle.

But as soon as they become popular and traffic goes high enough to be noticed, they get offers they can't resist (or refuse, who knows?), and we are back to the square one.

I would criticize Dragon Age 2 for it's many glaring issues. But It still had me playing till 4am last night. If it can do that then I suppose I have no right to complain.
