But yeah no. PC games are just successful console ports
Thou shalt burn in purgery for the unholy treachery thou committed.

You try using an editor on a console, have fun...

You cannot play an RTS properly on a console. You cannot play an FPS properly on a console. FPS is the most popular genre of games.

You cannot make a mod properly on a console.

You cannot have proper interactive multiplayer of any kind on a console to nearly the same level as with a PC.

PC gaming won't die because there are enough people who own computers that are willing to buy games on them to warrant the making of games on that platform. As long as there is demand for something there will be suppliers.

And Bioware let themselves be bought by a company that is made for killing anything original and/or fun
*looks at Battlefield, Crysis, Dead Space, Battle for Middle Earth, Need for Speed, Burnout, Command and Conquer, Black & White, Future Cop LAPD, etc*

Can't say I follow you.
Except for a few of those games, the majority were good until the original developers were bought by EA.

I don't follow. All of the games I listed were published by EA from the start.

I will always be anti console, controls always better on the PC, graphics are always going to be better than consoles as consoles have limits and PCs are upgradable.

Plus you don't have companies taking away support backwards compatibility (sony, xbox, wii) and companies that take away advertised capabilities (sony and their Linux bullshit)
You can play all gamecube games on the wii o.o But I agree with your assessment that PC is better. Jedi Academy ftw. I still play that game to bits ... go duels .... and it plays better than the xbox version.

BTW, on the PC you can play any PS1, PS2, NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, Atari VCS, Amiga, C64, Spectrum, Dragon, ZX80/1, Arcade, Pinball, BBC, Oric, Jaguar, Gameboy, MSX, Vic-20, Atari 4/800 games as long as you have the ROMS.

And almost all of the PC games released (with a DOSbox).

You've also got abandonware, browser games, KONGREGATE and quite a few others; so even if PC gaming dies, there's still enough to keep you amused for decades.

Nice to see that Bioware is still supporting the platform they first made games on. As well as consoles, Bioware is the prime example of a developer that can develop for all.

Let us pour more love on them.

C&C was made by Westwood studios until purchase by EA, another example is Maxis who was purchased by them years ago (makers of sim games), and Black and white was only published by EA, not made by them; Until recently lionhead studios wasn't owned by anyone and had their games published by microsoft, EA, and Activision... Microsoft eventually purchased them, so they don't belong to EA at all. The old Need for Speed games was made before EA's "souless conglomerate" days

If you got alot of disposable income at hand, you can say that PC Gaming rules. You can upgrade your hardware at any point to be able to play a game that was made on a more recent hardware. You can add Mods and do away with it. Basically, you can do anything with the PC.

What makes me hate the PC Gaming is the fact that the hardware goes outdated pretty fast, unlike the consoles...

Wait........

Whenever consoles goes outdated, you get stucked with it and thus, making you buy the updated version. As for PC's... Well, plug and play! Only that if you would be replacing the Processor just to run GTA4(Quad Core, anyone? >.>), you have to replace the Motherboard(if the latest Processor doesn't support your motherboard anymore)and Video Card(yes, I still run with that AGP slot... FUU---), which costs quite a hefty if you want the most future-proof PC. But my point is... Yea, PC Gaming still rulez... O_O

Obvious post is obvious

I never really understood it anyway.
The PC does RPGs/MMOs/FPSs better than the consoles.
The consoles do platforms, action-arcade, fighting.
PC is personalised, consoles are comfortable but constrained.

I could say something about living in peace with each other, but the last guy to do that was nailed to a tree 2 millenium ago.
You missed RTS's.

Hey, Mr.Bioware? We don't give a fuck about your platform wars. We only wish we could play Mass Effect 2 on our PS3, but we can't because you are too busy being a lazy asshole and making internet declarations. Fuck you.
Well hey, I wish I could play Uncharted 2 on my Xbox 360 but Naughty Dog are just being lazy assholes.
Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive. Mass Effect is not.
Mass Effect is a Microsoft exclusive.
Hence: PC and 360.
That was easy.

On topic: I love Bioware, and I can understand their affinity to the PC.
I know they'll always be involved with PC gaming, but it's undeniable that console gaming is grow bigger and bigger every year. PC gaming is where their roots are, no doubt, but console gaming is here to stay. So they'll make games for both! I can't complain about that.

I see myself favouring PC gaming more and more these days. It seems like an extremely varied and justified platform which enables almost anyone to enjoy at least some kind of game, from text based adventures to the latest flight sims, FPSs and RPGs. Me likey.

I've played on both PC and PS3 and I find myself more into my console lately. I think it's the simplicity of it all (Even if consoles are getting worryingly similar to PCs lately).
Control-wise, Mouse and KB is cool for complex games like RPG and RTS, or precise aiming like FPS, other than that I go with gamepad.
Oh, and Steam is way better than Psn.

Don't forget strategy, if that counts. You just can't do with a d-pad or joy-stick, like you can do with a mouse and keyboard.

I like the Hitchhiker's reference there btw.

OT:
Great, when we "die" we'll take them with us. I kind of like Shamus' view on the scene. That big companies will abandon PC and indies will grab it, make marvelous things, and become the big boys for PC and it will resurge. And we'll have Bioware now.

Did he really use Bioware in the 3rd person when he said that?
