yes i agree with the chopper gunner it should be on certain maps or have more safer spawn points.
the quick scoping tho, i agree with the change as well, the game is supposed to be realistic, you don't see snipers run up to an enemy at point blank and quick scope them. it's retarded
Yeah but the rifle swingly wildly and randomly around for a second and a half when you look down the sights isn't exactly realistic either, which is what they've done.
I'd have to agree. Sighting my rifles quickly takes... oh a second tops for a scope. 2-3 seconds cries inexperience, and that you shouldn't be touching the damn thing in the first place. A one second "nerf" sounds much better, because in close quarters a whole second is more than enough to beat the sniper to the draw.
Maybe an "experienced sniper" perk would be better. So dedicated snipers can have their shorter aim times, and people who decide to use it for shits and giggles will be hard pressed to actually use it correctly.
As for out of scope, fixing that sounds necessary. I pulled a few rounds from my air rifle, and the spread for just firing from the hip was 1-2 feet from the mark at 20 yards. so a 3 foot circle "recticle", mainly just a spread area that the player can't see from 15 yards plus, 2 foot from 6-14 yards, and a maybe a 1 foot circle at 5 and under would be a realistic and balanced blindfiring scenario.
An incorporation to the proposed sniper perk to make the radius of possible hits shrink would also be good, because I truly had to fire from the hip to miss, after being used to my rifles. Any combat-tense sniper would be accurate at least to a half a foot less than those distances, if not close to dead on at 30 yards or under. And that's my experience as an untrained marksman, just learning the trade myself as a hobby.
