I really hate Tager, so news of him being buffed makes me shiver in thought of the horror to come. Of course most of the hate is because I don't see Tager players that much so I never learnt how to fight him, i'll probably have to nearn now though.

How badly have they nerfed tsubaki?

If you wanna see my Bang so you'll believe me, here's a little tourny we got on YT, we even got a funny commentator to help so it's fun to watch.

My matches start around 8:20.

He still is slow and can't do mixup and you can effectively run away, just don't mash unsafe crap and don't take unnecessary risks. If you main Haku (since he's your avatar) you can effectively zone him with JC and 4C.

Tsubaki is not as bad as in CS1 but she has trouble gaining meter again.

I just started playing CS again and then I notice this thread. I am by no stretch of the word good but I hope to get better by the time the european release comes out.

Lol I've seen that vid, I actually played against the announcer back in CT. I look forward to kicking his ass in Extend when I get it ^^ He played a pretty good Litchi back in CT, and I struck fear into him with my Haku and some of his hilarious zanshins XD.

Any changes to Arakune?

"It's like they took all of Makoto's tiers and gave em to him, since Makoto is quite bad now, her and Tsubaki have been hit the hardest sadly since I like them both."

Dahh!! I dunno, I thought Tager and Hakumen were some of the hardest to fight already. Makoto was already really hard for me to beat anyone with, and I was just learning Tsubaki...

My problem with BlazBlue is I play it like a strategy game... trying to do dodging and counter-attacks, psyching the other guy out to get him into position for just one specific move. Long combos just bore me; where's the fun in memorizing something and mechanically inputting it perfectly? I get there's some satisfaction in pulling it off, and I know it's hard as hell to do, but where's the challenge, man to man, girl to girl, man to girl, girl to cat, cat to insane blob? I know I'm not the only one who enjoys sparring as opposed to pulpinating beatdown... I guess BB isn't the game for us, though.

He wasn't that good in CS2 though, maybe he forgot his stuff or something but he couldn't do most of her combos all the way...we should say he got...Banged. :D

Anyways, did you enjoy the show we put up in there? :D

Ah well that's not too bad then. I main Hakumen and sub Valkenhayn so I shouldn't have too mch trouble with him as long as I am carefl. My friend mains Tsubaki and will probably be annoyed to hear she still has trouble with meter but it could be worse.

Thanks for the info.

Here's the thing, you think combos don't entail strategy, that's not true! You need high levels of strategy to land the perfectly positioned perfectly timed starting hit to do your absolute best combo. You're needlessly limiting yourself, you need to do both of the above things to get the true experience.

It's a much deeper game when any single mistake means you may lose half your life, it makes these strategic thoughts matter more since the payback is huge. Take that tourney vid I posted, in one of the games against arakune I perfected him just because he thought I was gonna poke and I grabbed instead, that's the true life or death strategy game right there, he didn't notice I had meter to rapid cancel my grab into the kill combo which is why he didn't jump out right away.

As for changes to Ara, I don't use him at all so I don't really know a lot of things but I do know his forward D (the bell bug call) has a hitbox in his head too now so he basically blasts you towards the bug. Curse still seems strong and risky. Oh and he won't ever get two of the same kinds of curse clouds in a row.

I'm already practicing my extend combos and furinkazan loops and stuff, my Bang will be the stuff of legends! :D

But yeah, average FRKZ combo from a jumping C is like 6.5k...hard to do but worth it since it's even on mid-screen.

Relius isn't nearly as hard as Carl to use, I did all 15 of his challenges in about 40 minutes from having never touched him before.
Wont be playing you then as you are definitely a lot better than me I never finished anyones challenges even Makoto, who is my favourite. I would import this but alas my Japanese isnt good enough to be able to get the full story even though im sure I would be fine on the options and modes etc.

Can someone confirm for me if Makoto has her own story mode now AND if you can play with her in arcade mode. Im almost certain there is a story mode for her but no one mentions anything about Arcade and that is what will decide if I fork out for the game or not in this instance.

I will be importing Persona 4 ultimate in mayonaka arena though as it looks brilliant. Ive always liked arcs games even if I generally suck at them and Makoto just rocks thats the entire reason I bought CS in the first place so the lack of modes you could play her in dissapointed me a bit.
Just noticed I missed this so I guess I'll make a new post to cover it :D.

Makoto does have both arcade and story and is usable every other mode and so does everyone else too. She has been nerfed though so don't expect her broken top tier shenanigans any more, she's more like a normal char now, she won't do 6000 damage from a poke starter lol.

If you wanna get better we should play though, by playing folks who are better you also improve. If you avoid challenge you'll stagnate. I ventured on the online today and the netcode was great btw, eventually I found a room with another imported from the US and then a third one joined, one was a Jin, the other Lambda, so us 3 played something like 35 games in a row, I only lost like 4 times (yes my Bang is that manly :D) but they both persevered and the games they did take off of me, one of them being after my 14 win streak especially, were all that much more fun for them because they weren't easy wins.

The netcode improved? I hope so because that was my biggest problem with the game.

I wouldn't mind playing against some guys who are better than me so I can improve, if anyone here owns CS on Xbox360 my gamertags dandark6 if anyone wants to play.

The netcode of BB is basically the best in any fighter ever though so if you had problems with it I can't imagine what you thought of the rest of the fighters out there lol.

Playing with Japanese people seems way smoother now, it's not choppy or too bad but as you can expect it's not going to be like local play, team battles are fun btw.

Playing with a few importers from the US (I assume, they could also be from europe since I only had lvl 1 connections with them) was pretty great though, it's even better than the amazing CS2 netcode. (I broke more green grabs than I got hit by, like...3 times more...really! :D)

I'd play you but I'm on ps3 as you may have figured since 360 isn't region free and can't play imports so I sadly can't. You can get a feel of what it would be if we played by watching that tournament vid I posted above though, just use your imagination. XD

Well I never played another fighter game so I don't know what their like, I can usaully get mostly lag-free games despite always being on a 0 connection though so I can believe this game has great netcode.
I watched the vid and it looked like fun, I have had some trouble with Blazblue recently but im starting to get better at it, I could probably compete with higher level players like yourself now. I doubt I could win but I could at least damage you a bit =)

They're so much worse lol, you press the button and the action happens with quite a bit of delay.

That's odd though, you always getting a 0, my typical signal is between a 2 and a 3 when playing people in the same continent I'm on. Where do you live exactly?

Oh and sure you'd damage me...otherwise I wouldn't get enough heat to astral you now would I? :D

I live in the UK. I usaully always have a signal of 0 and yet I can get completely lag free games sometimes, it's odd but I don't mind it too much. Sometimes I get a 1.
Also didn't you say your a Bang player? How on earth you manage to use his astral I don't know, that thing is a nightmare.
I'd love to get hit by it though since it is that manly ;)

Of course the moment you use it then you better have me stunned or else you could expect a judgement of the sword/winters riposte ;D

Ah, you're lucky you asked this now cause you'd find out the ugly way.

Bang's astral is;

- A guard point with teleportation like his drives, it even guards against air-throws
- Comboable from a bunch of things like counter hit down D or jumping D or forward C
- Completely unblockable
- A move that goes through counters like your distortion and drives, since it's just that manly
- a move you can kara-D into (this means I do the jumping D, you try to punish, I input the astral which is a guard point and cancels the D animation, so you get countered by it)
- really really manly

As for doing it, it's very easy, you just do a 360 and then a half circle back. You need to be in the air to do it so it's easier to just input the jump with the actual move input itself rather than just jump and try and do the astral before landing, since if they see you jumping around they'll notice you're trying to do it and everyone other than Tager can just crouch and dodge it, you need to be very tricky about it but that's the fun of it when you do land it.

I do think Akumetsu (your astral) indeed beats mine though...but the situation where both of us would have our astrals ready to go is rather rare.

Out of all the facts you had listed all I knew was that it was very manly. That sounds much better than I thought. I have never really played him or seen anyone use it online, I remember having trouble with the input. So can't be countered? What about Hakumens astral Judgement of the sword? That can counter anything I have seen so far including grabs. The only thing I have had trouble countering is Ragans astral since he has that delay before striking which gives the counter time to dissipate and so changes the timing.

Can he be hit out of his astral or does he have invicibility frames? Damn now im wishing that the to console versions were compatible online, I haven't actully played a proper Bang player before and it sound like a lot of fun.

I said it's a guard point, that means that my entire body is like I'm blocking while I do the astral, you can't hit me out of it, if you do it's like your distortion counter, you freeze and then you get poked by mah nail. If you're too far away, I'll just teleport in, you're still frozen while the teleportation happens (it happens very fast) and then, again, nail to the face.

Also, I made an edit above about your astral, read up. :D

Ok then thanks, glad I read up rather than finding it out against an actual bang player although that could of been kinda cool.
