Ken returned his gaze to Risa. "Yeah, Apparantly, Kage's Zanpakuto spirit is a sociopathic homicidal ***** hell bent on killing all who she deems weak. At least, from what I heard of their fight, which isn't much." Ken explained to Risa.

"But," Ken turned back to Brad. "Some people would rather turn the other cheek ad look the other way." Ken snorted in Brad's direction. The end of his tail flicked from side to side in annoyance at his so-called leader's inability to act on a serious problem.

A low growl came from Ken's throat as Brad blackmailed him. "Hmph. If it's not my place, then it's your responsibility as a leader to do something. Either way, I'm done here. If you need me, I'll be at the other end of the room." Ken Growled at Brad. Ken walked past him and picked up the robe that Ken had placed there for his transformation.

Ken fanned out his wings and kicked off the ground hard, sending him rocketing over the training room. He saw everyone training hard to achieve their bankai. Ken grinned a little knowing that he would soon have a few more people to spar with. He also saw the glowing yellow threads that were holding Gleam down. His blood ran cold at the sight of her. He shook it off when he saw something else. A pool of water in the center of the massive room was giving off steam. Ken's mind put 2 and 2 together. Water + steam = Hot Spring.

" Hey Ryukiba! You wanna take a dip? Lets take a break from all this drama and relax for a bit." Ken asked his partner mentally.

"Sounds good to me! I wanted to get out a bit anyways!" Ryukiba chirped back.

Ken beat his wings to slow himself down and landed on the edge of the hot spring. Ken grabbed the sword hilt protruding from his chest and pulled it out swiftly. Quickly, Ken's body returned to its naked human form. Ken set the bloody blade aside and reached into the pocket of the robes and pulled out the doll that Urahara had given him. "Come on out Ryukiba!" he muttered as he plunged the dagger through the doll. There was a blinding flash of light and poof of smoke. When the smoke cleared, the furry white dragon that ken knew and loved was on top of him licking his face again. "Hahaha! I'm happy to see you too!"

Throwing caution to the wind, Ken and Ryukiba jumped into the center of the hot spring. The waters felt calming on Ken's skin as he tossed and turned underwater, trying keep all of his body submerged for as long as possible.

Ryukiba was enjoying the warm waters as well, doing the exact same thing that ken was doing.

Both of them broke the surface of the water and gasped for air. Inhaling lungfuls of the misty air. Ken felt a tingling sensation on his chest and looked down. His slot scar was disappearing right in front of his eyes.

"Whaddaya know! This hot spring heals wounds!" Ken shouted excitedly. An idea dawned on him. Maybe we should drop Kage into the spring, that would surely fix him up as well as cheer him up. "Hey Ryukiba, hang around here for a minute, I need to go tell Brad something." Ken told his Spirit.

"You don't need to tell me twice! This is fun!" Ryukiba replied, dunking his furry head back underwater.

Ken knew that they probably didn't want to see him naked, but he also didn't want to get his robes wet. He concentrated his reishi into forming a whirlwind around him. The whirlwind sucked all of the moisture off of his body and left him completely dry. He threw on the robe and Wind Jumped back to Brad's location.

Ken landed back in front of his leader and spoke quickly. "Hey you'll never guess what I found! A Hot spring that heals wounds! We should probably drop Kage in it, just in case there are injuries that we don't know about." Ken spoke like an ADHD kid with a Caffine high.

Suzutakanari watched as some of the others left, then turned back to Risa.

"Well, then, we've wasted enough time.We should get started on training.

Risa nodded in agreement. "Right. So, what do I have to do?"

Her spirit flapped his enormous wings, rising above the rocky floor. "Simple. All you have to do is survive my attacks, and then we'll see how good you are. And GO!"

With this last declaration, he unleashed a blast of sound at Risa, who barely dodged in time.

"Not bad, but can you dodge this?" Suzutakanari dove down at her, and she rolled out of they way, having no choice but to run to avoid the spirit's dogged attacks.

As she took shelter behind a rock, Risa heard Suzutakanari shouting,"Come on! You can do better than that!

If not for her situation, Risa would have been flushed with embarassment. Innnstead, she settled for smacking her face. Well, duh!

Pulling out her sword, she shouted, "Suzutakanari! Sound out!" As soon as her kamas appeared, Risa stepped out from behind the rock and shouted, "Alright, let's go!"

High above her, the great bat smiled. Excellent. The little mouse is beginning to get it...

"Okay, I'll be back in a bit...wait....no i won't!" Ken giggled. He was so excited about the spring that he nearly forgot to pick up Kage before he blasted off. Ken picked up the sleeping shinigami and slung him over his shoulder. Ken prepared his Wind Jump and blasted off to the hot spring.

When he landed, He found Ryukiba floating on his back in the spring, using his tail as a propeller to lazily maneuver around the spring.

Ken quickly set kage down and took off his robe. Ken moved kage so that he slid waist deep into the pool...

"Training..." Evela sighed. He hated to train, it was so boring, he hated it, but still, this sounded like a different thing to do, and something that might be at least slightly fun. He still sighed and shrugged. Meikyoku looked at him, and patted him on the back, "Music for a bit?" then smiled at him.
"Why not? Couldn't hurt..." He replied, then pulled a small flute out of his pocket. It was a little thing, made out of Pure Hollow Bone. He had taken it from a powerful enemy, so he fashioned it into a small flute which he loved.

He started to play a little bit, training by putting reitsu into the flute then sending it around, trying to increase the speed of putting the reiatsu into it but also the number of notes. Meikyoku cheered him on, Taking out a small stringed instrument from his back and started to play too, just for fun.

<spoiler=OOC>My memory is fuzzy, all I need to do is really get an awesome bond with my guy right? Or do I actually need to train properly...?
Also, danged Exams...

kage laid limply in Kens arms as he carried him through the air to the hot spring. Oblivious to everything around him until his body hit the water, within seconds his eyes shot open. Reaching forward suddenly his hand became charged with electricity, arcing across his wet hand and off the surface of the water before realising that he was no longer where he thought he was. Gleam was nowhere in sight, and he was in a pool of water.

"Wha-" Kage gasped, looking around as he dispelled the hado from his fingers, "W-what happened? Where am I? Where's Gleam?"

Ken was still standing there behind him. Leaning back and looking straight up he could see the shinigami, for once not merged with his spirit. Ken seemed happy enough despite everything they'd done to each other, or at least Kage had done to him. Asking once more Ken filled him in on what had happened with Gleam, leaving Kage with a deep sense of disappointment in himself that he hadn't even been able to carry out his final blow. He was disappointed with himself, and he knew that Soifon would have been disappointed as well. He had to finish the job though.

Kage pulled himself up, or at least tried to, , resting his arms on the stone edge of the spring. He only pulled himself up a couple inches before falling back in again. Still exhausted, he had no strength yet, but oddly enough, the longer he remained in the water, the more he felt it returning to him at an accelerated rate. Rather than try to rush it too soon, he gave it a while, closing his eyes and sliding down into the water a bit more til his head rested on the edge. Just a little while...

A half hour later Kage woke up again. At some point he fell asleep in the pool, but it didn't look like that much had changed so he couldn't have been out that long. Ken was gone, back with his partner he supposed as Kage got up, pulling himself out of the water in his wet clothes. He'd have to do something about those later, but right now he had things to do. He took them all off long enough to wring the water out of them before he left. He had no intentions of strolling around naked, but he also didn't want to be sopping wet either. They were far too heavy. Once that was done though, he used his newly restored energy to flash step across the training center. It was time to face Gleam.

The drider spirit was right where he left her, still bound in the bakudo web he'd thrown over her. She was no less friendly either, sneering at Kage as he approached her.

"So, have you come to finish me off now that you've had time to patch yourself back up? You should consider yourself lucky, if these ropes hadn't bound me I would have finished you off without a seco-"

She didn't get a chance to finish her statement before Kage slapped her across the face. He held his position with his arm across his chest as the shock sunk into her. Her eyes were wide at the audacity of it.

"Shut up, you miserable old spider." Kage told her. His attitude changed in the moment he left the spring and returned her her position. Her eyes still fixed on him, Kage readied himself for exactly what he needed to say.

"This is how things are going to be from now on" he stated, "First, you are MY spirit and as such you are going to do as I will you too. I am not going to live in fear of you another day. Ever since you came into my possession, you've haunted me, tormented me with nightmares and in my meditation. Never again."

Gleam sneered at him and opened her mouth to speak, but Kage cut her off before she could say anything holding up two fingers.

"Secondly, in response to the first point, from now on, I will not sit idly by when you decide to play with me. From now on, and this is a promise, I'm the alpha wolf and you're just another dog in the pack. I fully intend to have you in the hunt, but from now on you will follow my lead. If I want your consult I will ask for it but I will not be led on by you anymore, and if you so choose to try and force me to through your suble, passive-agressive or outright murderous attempts on my life, I swear to god I will kill you myself regardless of what happens to the both of us. Do you understand?"

Kage held his hand up as he gave her a chance to answer him. She didn't vocally, instead just giving him the smallest possible nod of acknowledgement. Kage scowled at her. This defiance against him was not going to remain. Electricity arced over his hand before he thrust it up to her neck, stopping mere fractions of an inch away as the forked electricity licked at her bare skin.

"I said, do you understand" Kage ordered her.

"Yes." She answer, that sneer still present on her face.

"Good." Kage said as he dispelled the hado and lowered his hands. Gleam pulled at the bindings again, the glowing ropes shifting but giving nothing.

"Now let me out of here" she demanded as she glared at him. Kage folded his arms across his chest.

"Why? You already tried to kill me, consider this a fitting punishment." he told her, before stepping forward and getting up face to face with her.

"THink of it this way. For the next...two and a half days, I have the power to destroy you at the slightest whim. In case you can't put two and two together, that makes me the predator, and you the prey. And make no mistake, if I so much as hear a whisper that you have so much as threatened any of the other shinigami, I will stretch your death out for as long as you have this manifested form and make you suffer every remaining moment of your short, miserable existance."

Kage kept his eyes fixated on hers. Staring into those pupil-less whites was like staring directly into her soul, and as he did he thought he felt a very real chill run through her. For once, maybe for the first time, she got a dose of the fear that she fed on. She didn't respond, and Kage didn't wait for her to either. Stepping back, he then turned away from her, leaving her to suffer in her isolation. He gathered his energy and stepped back across the training center.

His step ended back at the spring. So far it still just seemed to be Ken and his spirit, and his robes that Ken had taken the courteousy or removing before he put Kage in the water. Walking over he picked them up and threw them on, his clothes still damp but mostly dried out by now. Once his robes were on though and he fixed the scabbard in his sash, he looked over at the bathing shinigami.

"Hey Ken" Kage said from the other side of the spring, "Look, I know we don't see eye to eye on just about anything, and I also don't know what happened for the last...well, I'm not sure how long, but whatever did happen, and whatever you did, thanks."

Ken looked up from his bath to see Kage standing on the edge of the spring. "No problem Kage, I may be simple minded, but to see someone killed by their own spirit is something I won't stand for. Anyways, You were out for about an hour total, you didn't miss much." Ken added.

He noticed that Kage's robes were still wet from the spring. "Here, let me dry that off for you." Ken lifted his arm out of the water as pointed a finger at kage's chest. He let off a small burst of reishi and created a swirling vortex around Kage. The vortex sucked out all of the moisture in Kage's clothes into the whirlwind. Ken dropped his arm and the vortex stopped. All of the water that was removed dropped to the ground in a ring around Kage.

"If you ever need a guy to help you with Bankai, I'll be happy to spar with ya." Ken added as he returned to relaxing in the hot water. "Oh, one more thing. This pond heals wounds and restores reishi incredibly fast. It probably wouldn't hurt you just to relax of a bit."

kage watched as Ken pointed at him. The next thing he knew he was in a wind tunnel, his clothes flying behind him as the wind blew all the water out of them. It was an amazing little ability he had, unsure of how useful it was but it was certainly helpful.

"Heh, thanks for that. But as far as sparring goes, look, there's no way I could go toe to toe with you. We fought twice already, we're in two different leagues here, so I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to decline. And I noticed that about the spring, but I'm fine now, really."

Kage spoke politely to him for a change with no undertones other than sincerity in his voice. He was almost starting to regret having gone after him over the human, but then again, he didn't regret it either. He did what he felt he had to do, he could only hope Ken understood that.

"Eh? Well, then maybe you can help me. I seem to be getting pinned by these kido spells left and right and you seem like the group specialist on the matter. So, tell me how I can fight against these spells." Ken asked Kage. He stepped out of the water and dried himself off with the vortex. He threw on his robe and stood in front of Kage, awaiting a reply.

Kage folded his arms over his chest, watching as he got out of the water. Well, this is unexpected. He wants to know how to counter kido. I suppose...I could teach him out to counter some kido, however the more I teach him the more I rob myself of an advantage. Then again, we are on the same team...

It was a tough decision to make, but in the end it seemed like a better plan to teach him. Being a squad 11 shinigami Kage knew that his knowledge of kido was small, if not non-existant, and despite robbing himself of an advantage it was probably better to help him grow. And even though Kage couldn't stand up to his bankai, he couldn't stay in bankai forever.

"Well, alright, I suppose I can give you a couple pointers," Kage told him, giving him a chance to get himself ready, "First off, think of kido as less of a power struggle and more of a game of rock-paper-scissors. If you try to counter someone elses kido with equal power, you'll likely kill the both of you in the process. Kido combat is more about technique than force."

Walking around the spring, Kage continued to speak to him, "The first step in countering any kido is knowing it. Once you know what it is, you know what to expect. Kido can generally be broken down into two types, blast and touch. Kido like hado #1 or hado #4 are blast types. They simply burst without any need to touch the target to be effective. Likewise Bakudo like #1 are blast types as they don't need the caster to touch you to make it effective. However, blast types are generally easy to deal with because they cannot be directed further than the direction they are fired. Simply don't be there when the kido is cast."

Stopping once he reached the same side as Ken, he continued his lecture, "The other type are contact types. They generally have a manifested form and have to touch you before they take effect. Bakudo #4 and Hado #11 are good examples. These kido are generally directional and can be used to track you across a battlefield. This is both their advantage and disadvantage. They are generally more potent and more effective, however they are susceptable to enviromental factors and time. Being that they are manifested, their used generally takes more energy than a simple blast, and having a solid form they have to move around objects or be caught by them. Use your terrain to your strategic advantage, and if you can't, simply wait your opponent out."

"How am I going to know which Kido is which? In case you haven't noticed, I haven't had much experience with Kido." Ken asked quizzically "Would you mind demonstrating a few of them?"

Ken was eager to learn about this "kido" stuff, he had never even seen kido outside of the flash step. Then again, he never actually needed it. He could perform the equivalent of kido with his wind reishi.

Meanwhile, Risa was fighting Suzutakanari, trying her best to fend off the giant bat's attacks. But at the moment, she was beginning to get worn down.

Pressing herself against a rock, Risa tried to calm her breathing so that she wouldn't be noticed.

"Is that all you've got?" The giant bat roared. "You'd better hurry, I'm beginning to loose my patience!"

As Suzutakanari passed by, Risa kept quiet, and tried to keep her hands from shaking, as not to jangle the bells on her tonfas and alert the beast.

Okay, think. How to take this thing down?she thought to herself. Okay, so he's a giant bat...maybe I could overpower him with sound...but could I even get enough power to do it?

"FOUND YOU!" a voice roared, and suddenly the rock exploded around Risa, sending her crashing to the ground. As she got to her feet, Suzutakanari loomed over her, fangs glinting.

"A pity, I really thought you could do better than that."

"I'm not out just yet!" Risa shouted, and held up her tonfas defensively.

Suzutakanari cocked his head. "Is that supposed to do something?"

Risa was beginning to get nervous. Why isn't it working?! "Come on you stupid things! Do something... anything!"

"Enough of this foolishness!" The giant bat suddenly roared, and rushed towards her with fanges bared.

Risa shut her eyes tightly, but still held up her weapons, her hands gripping the handles tightly, despertetly shouting, "COME ON ALREADY, WORK DAMN YOU!"

Almost immediately, the tonfas began to glow, causing Suzutakanari to slow down slightly. "What...?"

A great blast of sound erupted from the tonfas, blowing Suzutakanri backwards and nearly defeaing Risa. After a moment, she opened her eyes, seeing her opponent literally blasted backwards into a rock.

There was silence for a moment, then Suzutakanari spoke.

"Well...done.."

Kage scratched his head. Demonstrate them to someone who wouldn't know bakudo from hado...this could take a while...

"Alright them, pay attention. I'm going to show you a few that I know, and I'm going to explain how to know them when someone else uses them. There is only one way to know a kido and that is to learn and memorize them, which is not that had to do really. Most kido users will know many but only use a few. They'll specialise in them to make them more potent. Myself, I tend to favor bakudo over hado, but when I use hado I use lightning types" Kage explained to him. Holding up his hand in front of himself, between himself and Ken, he spoke again.

"Jaguar runs along tree, thunder chases the skipping stone. Hado #11: Tsuzuri Raiden." Kage said in a rather plain voice. He put no emphasis into the kido since there was no need to augment it; the words were strictly there for Kens benefit. Copper colored arcs of electricity crossed his palm and climbed up between his fingers like several jacobs ladders.

"Most kido spells have an incantation of some sort. These are used to help the caster focus and channel their spiritual energy into the spell. Once you reach a certain point, you no longer need the incantation to cast it, but it doesn't change the appearance or effect. This is Hado #11, Tsuzuri Raiden, Bound Lightning, or more commonly refered to as touch lightning. This hado spell is purely offenseive as most hado are, and it works by channeling an electrical current into something else. As its name inplies, it's bound to whatever is charged and it must touch something else to shock it. This sacrifice in range though makes up for itself in its ability to not be grounded or redirected." Kage told him, before thrusting his hand forward at him, stopping it several inches from his chest.

"The lightning does not harm the caster, but instead passes the current to the next target and electrocutes it. The item charged can be a zanpakuto, a rock, or in my case, a hand, but it always appears the same, and it always behaves the same. This hado is best used in close quarters in melee, or as an improvised weapon when all other options have run out." Kage said before he dispelled the hado. The electricity fizzled out and he lowered his hand, giving Ken a moment to take all that in.

The clangs of metal punctuated through the darkness that enveloped the two fighters. Each clash a war of muscle and sinew, blood and bone. Aoshi leapt back dodging a burst of crimson energy from his zanpakuto and slid to a halt a few feet away. Even with the sword, he is still more powerful then me. How does he keep this up? Feeding on the fear, Maindo Setsudan Naitomea vanished and reappeared behind him opening up another wound in his shoulder. "Fear is the enemy, fear is what is holding you back. Stand, don't give an inch in the face of your foe! Push on regardless of the obstacle!" Gripping his sword tightly, Aoshi slowly stood, taking a deep breath to calm himself before looking at his zanpakuto, eyes full of fire and conviction. "To give into fear is to fall forever. To surrender to something you can overcome is weakness. I push on through unyielding fear and I protect those I call my friends. That is my vow. One last clash Naitomea?" Seeing his sword nod, they both charged forward and swung.

The darkness dissapated with not a whisper leaving a single figur standing tall. Clad in the tattered black robe and gripping the scythe, Aoshi's form was the perfect visage of the Grim Reaper. Allowing a genuine smile to cross his features which despite it's warmth remained frightening do to his appearance, he yelled out, "I did it!" before walking back towards the others to witness their training. Thank you for showing me the way Naitomea, Arigato.

"Jaguar runs along tree, thunder chases the skipping rock. Hado #11: Tsuzuri Raiden." Ken spoke as the electricity crackled inbetween his fingers. Suddenly, the reishi backfired qand blew up in his face. Literally. When the smoke cleared, ken's face and palm were black, and a bit of his hair was singed.

"Wha!? What the hell did I do wrong?" Ken coughed up a bit of smoke as he spoke.

Watching as Ken tried to replicate the hado that he just use, it was immediately clear that this was going to end badly. There was no time to warn him though as the electricity started to crackle across his fingers. Using his shunpo, Kage disappeared from the spot moments before the hado went up in smoke.

From several feet away, Kage gave the smoke a chance to clear, peering through the haze at the smoke tinged shinigami. Once the air had a chance to clear, Kage took a step forward, using his shunpo mid-step and moving back over to Ken.

"Too much power." Kage told him, "Too much, too fast, too uncontrolled. I told you, kido isn't about a power struggle, it needs to be controlled. But you got an effect, that's better than nothing. Next time though, start out with a lower hado, like Sho."

Brad looked on as his teammates trained, each of them doing well.

Brad looked at his spirit phone, Wondering what was going on, the hollows should not have been able to get into this training ground, it should be hollow proof, and if these hollows that have been kidnapping people knew where they where...

"Guys, time to go." Brad said, recalling Izanagi back into his sword and putting it away.

"Urahara, please open the gate." Brad asked, standing in front of the paper gate.

"As you wish." He smerked, having his assistants open the gate with a loud swooshing sound.

"Hurry up everyone, im going on ahead to clear the area if needed." He said, jumping in to the purple vortex.

'there going to think your crazy.' Izanagi thought to his friend.

'Im starting to think that myself' Brad thought back, entering a sea of sand.

"This place looks... Dead." Brad said, looking around, not seeing a hollow in sight, not even senseing one.

He walked over to a tree, but it wasent a tree, it was some sort of stone, it cumbled in Brad's hand as he picked off a branch like part.

"We couldent keep in there, we had to go..." He said, folding his arms.

"Yes, we might be in the world of hollows, but at least with us here, they dont know where we are."
