While it would be awesome to play this on my huge TV, I'm still gonna get it on PC. Feels a lot easier considering all the clicking and I don't play multiplayer on my PS3 due to the difficulties with communication.
The friends I plan to play with don't own PS3 anyways.

Meh, I'll get it on PC and if the console port sucks then it's on the 360 owners for once. Life is good. :)

I really don't see why all the hand wringing about controls. Just do it twin stick style and it would be perfect. One stick to move, one stick to determine facing and move a cursor for targetted abilities. Easy.

Whatever, I don't care about any Blizzard products since their localization lumps us with the rest of the EU (my country is the poorest in the EU and our prices are the highest in the EU, we are poorer than many third-world countries) and we are expected to pay 1,5 times what the US pays or double what the UK pays. Starcraft II costs 1/5 of my monthly expenses and Diablo III will cost the same. No way I'm buying a game at that price...

All I can really say to that is hell yea. Its about dam time blizzard finaly gave in to the dark side.
their part of activison, so ... >.> didn't they do that already?

but over all, good :D one more interesting sounding game for consoles
I guess looking back at blizzards track record over the past seven or eight years I should say took over the dark side instead.
that imply's they are worse then EA, they might be hacks but i don't think their EA level yet >.>

Now if it does come out for consoles the main question is will it be always online (drm) to play? If the answer is yes I still won't get it. If the answer is no, then after a frothing at the mouth rage I would ask WHY THE HELL WON'T YOU DO THAT FOR THE PC VERSION?

Let's see...Take one of Blizzard's most popular franchises that happens to be built around repeatedly bashing buttons and grinding for rainbow-colored loot more than xp, and bring it over to consoles.

The natural reaction is "guarded optimism." X-Men Legends. Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The Bard's Tale. Champions of Norrath. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Okay, maybe that last one is a bad example, but the point is the concept is already proven to work. Blizzard has already proven themselves to be a competent developer, so there's little reason to be down on the concept.

The allergic reaction is "spew bile on forums." HERESY! How dare they make me use different buttons for motion and combat! The unwashed CoD-playing masses could never understand an experience as deep and intricate as Diablo! I hope your family chokes on the money you feed them, you corporate whores!

I'll let you decide which side of the fence I'm on.

I just have to guess, considering you don't have your country listed on your profile. I did a little research. Do you live in Moldova? Because it is always #1 on the list of poorest countries in the EU, from what I've found.

Duno they just might be. They managed to convince people that having both subscription fees and microtransactions in wow was perfectly acceptable. Plus you know they kind of put twenty filler missions in starcraft 2 so they could make it into three games instead of one.
good points, but until they release spyware in the guise of digital distribution, they still aren't AS bad, yet

More people can play a great game thats great news isnt it and pc supremacists cant complain becuase it a port from the pc. Though i have feeling they are going to anyway.
Sigh...................................

For the billionth time. Its not great news. The game will not be as great since design choices will revolve around making the game work on all platforms and for all audiences instead of one. For fucks sake how hard can it be to understand that this is a bad thing no matter what stupid platform one is sitting on?

If you try to fit a game in too many places, the result will be a game that doesnt really have an interesting shape.

This has nothing to do with being an elitist anything, it just has to do with logic.

Moldova is not a part of the European Union. I'm from Bulgaria.

I would have been surprised if Blizzard didn't put Diablo on consoles. The closed network system would work fantastically with their new paid auction house bullshit.
