They're just words, and nothing more. It's only when he start doing something stupid should we start sharpening our pitchforks.

Will someone kill this guy already? I don't get it. How can you be such a greedy moron destroying video game industry and not get your ass kicked at least once a month? In a decently run universe this guy would have been killed years ago.

Joy. Can we all stop over-reacting to everything this twit says? We've all established he's worthless, and avarice incarnate. He doesn't actually understand business in an intelligent way so why do we waste our time.

My hatred for Kotick is now waaaaay up to the eleven.

but seriously,I was glad that Bungie left Microsoft (Because i thought they might get to work on their old games) but now that they're with Activision....I lost all hope.

Activision are probably gonna have Bungie make FPS,and keep milking it for 10 years straight.

Waste of talents, sir Waste of talents.

....uh...This man is the most idiotic CEO on the planet. Because combine this with him saying he wants to separate the cut-scenes from the games and sell them separately, not realizing they require each other to make sense, makes me feel like he wears his shoes on his head.

The guy has been CEO of Activision since 1991. Think what you want about him personally, but don't make the mistake of thinking he doesn't know how to run a profitable company.

On topic: Oh Kotick, will you ever tire of trolling the games industry? Hopefully not as it amuses me greatly.

Look, I love Bungie. They are my favorite developers as a whole, ever. But thats fucking reatrded. There are plenty of indie developers who care a lot about quality, and put a lot of love into their games. DO I think Bungie does it best, and is most dedicated? ABsolutely. I think Kotick is right-on with the Bungie praise, but the insulting of the rest:

Fuck you, dude.

Is it safe to say Mr. Kotick has surpassed every hated personality possibly related to video games?

I think so, Michael Atkinson may be second, but everything he has done and said in the last few months has me thinking he surpasses Yahtzee's 'Ponce-spectrum' by any measureable amount. Not to mention everything Activision touches turns to gold-plated shit, so he has no merit.

SCREW YOU KOTICK! EAT SHIT ACTIVISION!

Because they are so large. Had Activision been a medium sized company, this would of fell over in an instant. And from a business perspective Kotick is a moron. It's honestly amazing that ANY company would still want to associate with Activision while he's there. That's where I'm confused.

Bungie? You mean those guys who've made the same game over and over for the past 10 years? (Except Halo Wars of course).
Halo Wars was made by Ensemble Studios.

Kotick was the leader of the group of investors that bought out Activision back when it was about to go bankrupt. Since taking over as CEO they became one of the largest publishers in the world, and then became the biggest when they merged with Vivendi Games. The reason he's still leading the company is because the shareholders of Activision Blizzard voted to keep him on as CEO of the merged company. Sure, it'd be nice if he wasn't out to make money through things like a subscription fee for CoD, but he knows exactly what he's doing. And what he's doing is making as much money as possible for Acti Blizz, which is the very reason shareholders voted to keep him in charge.

My head hurts. Business logic dictates it should've went under if he was this batshit insane at the start. God damn it, this man defies logic.

I still think he'd make more money if he'd stop insulting everyone outside Activision >_>.

I'm starting to think this guy is a troll now. Really. You can't say as many ridiculous and inflammatory things as Kotick has over the past few years without it starting to seem like it is intentional. I mean, he can't be that stupid, can he?

c'mon guys, let's not fall for what is clearly a publicity stunt to stir up controversy. Bobby Kotick is not one to shy away from being a dick just to get a bit more exposure. In that way, he's like the Donald Trump of the gaming world, basically media whores who are now more or less like glorified con men.

Besides, so what if Kotick just insulted half of the studios in the world? The numbers will speak for itself. Kotick can do all the posturing he wants, Valve is still going to be raking it in hand over fist, and at the end of the day, that's what will count in their world.

I find it downright hilarious though that Bungie is actually still considered "indie". Seriously, that's like me saying Bill Gates is just doing "okay".

Even if it's true that Bungie is the last quality indie dev (they aren't) I'm sure a 10 year publishing deal with activision will quickly change that.
